I don't know or care how it works against vehicles
But I have literally been sniped off that one Dom map with the tower right on the hack panel that you've gotta fly uplinks on if you want to win.
That's over a hell of a lot more than 300 meters. And by the time my proto forge's reticle lights up red I've been one-shotted and the ******* killfeed says RAILGUN TURRET 80GJ or whatever
some douchebag in general discussion tried to tell me I'm wrong and I got so mad I had to make this thread in case you IDIOTS think that this doesn't need to be looked at

you *ARE* wrong. 300m is the range of large rails as opposed to its previous 600m range. Now it is possible that this doesn't apply to installations when their AI kicks in, but for player operated vehicles or installations it is 300m. Also, forge guns have a maximum range of 300m, so if its in range of you, you are in range of it.

Forges = 300m
You can shoot him, he can shoot you. In fact there's a really easy way to test it - stand 300m away from a target with both a forge and a rail, back up until your efficiency hits zero / you lose a target readout.

Let's just say you are right and this railgun outranged you (which it most likely didn't). Do you really think screaming on the forums and then insulting the people who disagree with you is going to get anything done?
Rail range was reduced to 300m, as I have seen countless times when rounds explode right next to my ADS, or I am just short of shooting one myself. Either it was a glitch or you were standing 301m away and the splash got you.
Since you are so incredibly adament all us douchebags and idiots are wrong, I suggest you get that video to prove us as such. Otherwise grow the **** up and stop screaming like a toddler because you aren't getting your way. |

after not useing tanks for months i can fully say that railgun turrets on tanks got a subsequent range nerf down to maybe 1/3 what it used to be.

Coming from someone who's been on both sides of the Forge Gun, I can confirm that it is indeed 300m.
Do you have a picture to show you've been klilled by a Forge Gun at 300m?
Amarrians would prefer you be faithful. I'd rather you be logical.

I've died to a rail gun at 302 meters once I was a sad panda so close to escaping from the 3 FG's and Redline sniper when I died to splash from a railgun. One probably has slightly more range because of increased splash but other than that they are relatively equal to my knowledge. Though rail guns could use a slight range buff maybe 50-150m.

Edit: They do it OUT OF MY RANGE. I shoot them and NOTHING HAPPENS but they shoot me and the animation of the Rail exploding next to me, then next thing I know I'M DEAD BY RAILGUN.

btw he is somewhat correct the 80gj GOMORRAH particle cannons max range is 350 meters in fact all the arum railguns max range is 350 meters no joke sometimes you might not be able to see past 300 sometimes meters but ur hud will turn red and if u shoot u will hit up to 350 makes camping null cannons easy since u can see when you're within 350 meters from the panel just gotta go up to it and reverse backwards with your gun on the panel. also u can get a squad member to confirm your hitting it to.

Well, your first mistake is that if this were a bug you posted it in the wrong forums.
Secondly, if you legitimately feel that Railguns are killing you from beyond 300m+ you should totally wait for the "Killed By" screen after your death and screen cap that **** for the epic wins instead of ranting on the forums about people disagreeing with you... when you have no reference material for your claim...
But I tell you what, I'll do you a solid and get my recording equipment set up so that I can record this and prove/disprove your theory personally since that's just something I do...
