Really? Protostomping? Where is protostomping happening? The frequency is not as great as it used to be. Why? Because most of the "elite" players and "elite" corporations who protostomped has left after hearing the Legion announcement at FanFest.
Now that's left in pubs are clueless blueberries who couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag. I've been in a squad of 6 and we're the only guys with crazy WPs and doing anything on the field.
So I don't know what you're experiencing. I see pubs are even in a much more worse state and PC (where prototypes are abundant) is the only form of real competition.
There is no such thing as protostomping in pubs or poor matchmaking. Just poor players. Not trying to be mean or ignorant, its just what I see.

For the record just last match was 4 from STB and 6 from NFSounds. Yeah no proto stomp on public? Not all the elite players have left for Legion they only show up on weekends. Weekdays your relatively less at risk.
Yea one match that you recently played. In your last 10 games, how many times were you protostomped?
And I have already answered that before you spoke...

Organized teamplay works well against STB and NFSounds. Your team had poor players.

Inhale and then exhale.
Again, protostomping does not happen anymore like it used to. If you getting protostomped in today's war...well, frankly, you just suck.

If you get stomped now because the 'elite' players have left you suck? Fecking rubbish mate, and you should know better than posting crap like this. Q-syncing still goes on, and noobs are still leaving Academy and getting kerb stomped out on their very first game out in the wild. Of the 8 people who joined this game at the same time I did, guess how many still play? Just one. Why did the rest of 'em leave? Cause its no fun to get killed without any chance to even fight back. We can all argue why the game has such a low player base till the cows come home, but protostomping has to take the most blame IMO.
So you're saying the blues in public matches are highly competitive? Are you serious?
I actually play this game alot. Protostomping doesn't happen at all like it used to. If you can't handle the competitiveness of the pub matches (lol pubs) then yea, you probably need to increase your skill and game.

This is Michael Arck. I am well known for expressing my opinion whether you like it or not. No, I'm not the guy who says what everybody else says just to be in some cool kids club or to be accepted. What I say, I believe in and I live by. If you think it's bullshit because it doesn't agree with your opinion, oh well.
The truth of the matter is, public matches aren't competitive. Reason why folks leave pub matches to go to PC and get crushed, becoming disheartened about playing in PC. Yes, you can have some good games in pubs but to measure your skill according to pubs really doesn't amount to much.
The truth of the matter is protostomping does not, I repeat, does not happen as often as implied by those whom feel otherwise. There are people who will just side with anything negative just to continue spouting negative energy.
Protostomping was mainly committed by players who often PC. With a bankroll to support and after months of working hard to achieve level 5 in a dropsuit, these players would use the same PC tactics in pubs. Hence the protostomping.
Instead of working and coordinating with teammates, disorganized blues got protostomped into oblivion.
But back to the point...
Protostomping hardly ever happens in pubs like it did before. I've been playing Dust 514 for about two years now. I play a string a matches in one sitting.
I'm curious to know if you know what a prototype is because you just might be getting stomped by ADV suits and calling it protostomping.
You can ask seasoned players (and I would be surprised if they say otherwise) if protostomping happens often in pubs and the reply would be no, compared to how prevalent it was before. You couldn't breathe back then without protos on your neck with a tanks hammering the nail in the coffin.
It's so easy nowadays to destroy in pubs because honestly, plenty of players lack skill. That's not being mean or offensive, that's just the truth. Why I look at guys weird when they want to boast about how they got 40 kills and only 3 deaths. You're playing in pubs where clueless blueberries run rampant.
Since my question wasn't answered, let me ask this again.
In the last 10 games anybody has played, how many times were you "protostomped"?

I'm sure there are competitive blues in Pub matches. The point I'm trying to make is that the average noob out of Academy will find it difficult to be competitive because of the disparity between the players they are fighting against.
You could be the best FPS player in the world, but when you're going up against players with double (or more) the eHP as you, using weapons that do more damage and have abilities that you don't have, then yeah, you're gonna struggle.
Most people on the forums and most of the Dust guides I've seen say that you don't get competitive until you get to about 8-10 million SP. While you and I and everyone else who has kept playing may be the kinds of Masochist who's willing to tough it out until we can hold our own, the average player who's trying out the game isn't gonna stay around when they are getting killed and red lined over and over and over again.
If you want to play to be competetive, then you work away, nobodies going to stop you. I don't play because I want to be competetive, I'd rather play to relax and have fun. Maybe squadding up every now and again.
How about this? You seem to be in the same time zone as me, so why don't we squad up some time this weekend? We can see how the game is playing between us. [/quote]
You speak as if I came into this game with 30 million lifetime SP. I got my butt handed to me. And I continued playing because I knew with time I could get better. Yes, I got frustrated at first, but I kept pushing.
So should we call it MLTstomping? ADVstomping? Because newberries are getting destroyed by anybody. It's up to that person to adapt to the situation. Protos aren't the only danger for a new player. You're a danger. I'm a danger. A guy playing for three months is a danger. So why just lump it into a black and white category and just say they got protostomped?
The 8-10 million SP thing is false. You can be competitive in pubs with 8-10 million SP. PC is a bit different. But pubs?
It's really not good to make up stuff just to prove a point. I was competitive in pubs at 9 million.

I never had any intention on posting about this particular topic, for its overdrawn after a year of complaints.
I merely pointed out my opinion of constantly seeing the things he says on this forum. Anyone who voices their opinions as if they are facts, in my eyes, are spouting bullshit and should be ignored.
LOL this is hilarious. Admits that he came into the thread just to say my opinion is bullshit. When ironically, there are others who share my opinion.
Hey, I would love to settle this mano y mano, so hopefully I see you on the battlefield. That is, if you still play this game instead of just being a forum warrior
