People cried that the AR was OP left and right before and said everyone used it too much, not taking into account in that it was the only general purpose rifle in the game at the time. They didn't even nerf the Assault rifle when the Combat Rifle and Rail Rifle came out but suddenly the threads disappear saying the AR is OP and in its place were threads saying "The CR/RR is not OP" even though they both obviously were/are. But that's this playerbase for you, mostly ignorant and reliant on crutches. DUST 514 (The 514 stands for the server ping)

I briefly used the RR, but went back to the AR pretty quickly, even with it was UP compared to the CR and RR after they were introduced.

TBH- and i've been thinking of this for a while: What if we gave rail tech 0 (yes 0) recoil, but cut the RoF by about 25%(to keep high alpha, low RoF in the caldari name)? Think about it, there's no propellant pushin the projectile, only a magnetic field, magnetic fields don't cause recoil, and neither do railguns. However to accomplish this, we need to make the Rail Rifle have lower DPS than the Assault rifle. Also along this, Lasers have 0 recoil(maybe a bit, considerig it's laser guided plasma) an projectile shoul be unwieldly high recoil. That last one actually makes me excited, as a minmatar fan, i want a gun that spews bullets with such a ridiculous kick, that the bullets go FLYING. General John Ripper Like ALL the things!!!

The force accelerating the projectile forward is equal to the force accelerating the gun backwards, no matter how said force is generated (unless the backwards force is emitted directly into the environment as is the case with RPG style weaponry).
