i think there should be shield projectors that can be fit in the turret slot basically it beams out a "wall"10-45 meters in front of the projector and that makes cloakes anyone behind it from anyone lookiung at the wrong angle it drains capacitor and its cpu/pg intensive
diffrent moddels have diffrent radius range and requirements

Mostly nobody would use this thing:
1: it only faces one way, the front, so it's useless for air vehicles
2: It takes up a turret slot, which you didn't specify, and for some reason I think you mean large, so only HAV's currently, which would make it useless.
3: Moving would make it pointless, as someone might see the sides of it.
Also, cap isn't happening, as it would be too hard to manage it (because this isn't a click and go game).

I don't think we should have visual dampening for vehicles.
What I would suggest instead is the introduction of active scan dampeners.
Vehicles IMO should almost always be visible while moving, due of energy system outputs.....probably insane heat spikes which dissipate when not mobile (yes I do think tanks that are immobile should be off the mini map). Thus making it possible for infantry to scan down the locations of tanks from a fair distance.
However I would suggest the inclusion of these scan dampening modules, that dissipates or hides that heat signature of the HAV while on the move for a short time.
Heck that would give Black Ops units a place on the map as in combat players will be aided visually by the mini map...... but when that HAV does not appear on the mini map and is zipping up right behind you...... or out from behind a building.

There should be no cloaks, period.
Dropsuit cloaks are just silly. Seriously? I thought the cloak fields were going to work similar to other placeable or dropped equipment. "Camping" in all these games, is bad enough. Now, this one allows for invisible campers. ----Again, another short-sighted idea that, by looking around a year later, has done nothing to make the game any better nor motivate anyone to start playing. (Or play more, again, etc.)
Vehicles definitely should NOT HAVE CLOAKS. As it is, vehicles do not give a scan signature unless an active scanner is working on it. This is also ridiculous. Vehicles should scan just like installations, constantly. If anything, there should be scan dampening for vehicles AFTER THAT.
Cloaks are one of the worst ideas I have seen come to fruition in this game, or any game for that matter. |

Vehicle cloaks should happen at some point. Right now both infantry and starships can cloak. That means things ranging from one dude to a giant spaceship can cloak... but a vehicle in between cannot?
That being said, vehicle cloaks must be handled very carefully. As with the recent dropsuit changes, they should need profile dampeners and such to become less detectable to EWAR. Legion's EWAR system in general needs to be more sophisticated, as larger things should be visible on the minimap from much further out.
It's also important that only specific variants of vehicles be fitted for cloaks. A stealth dropship would be really cool, balanced properly. A sneaky way to deploy a squad. But you probably should never be able to cloak an ADS, for example. And a stealth dropship should not be particularly durable.
I'd like to be your CPM1 candidate

Yet it's mostly never done right in any game ever. Cloaks are fine, they just need work (aka a god damn penalty timer).
