Why not first wrap up Frames and Roles? Are these not the very foundation of balance?
A Humble Suggestion
The role of Frontal Assault / Slayer has yet to be filled by the Assault Frame. Usurper Frames (non-Assault Slayers) continue to perform this role better than Assault. If we can resolve this fundamental role conflict in an early iteration, then we can avoid "treating its symptoms" in future iterations. We must make the Assault Frame the go-to Slayer Suit, such that would-be usurpers find greater benefit in returning to their respective specializations and roles.
Caveat
Our goal here is to restore role balance by helping the Assault Frame. Logi buffs are wholly unrelated, arguably counterproductive, and should be weighed separately.

This effort is not an attempt to tell people how to play and what to fit.
This effort is an attempt to establish more clearly defined, fundamental roles.
If you wish to HP-tank your Scout and fight on frontlines, feel free.
But know that an Assault can do so better.
If you wish to slay with your Logi, feel free.
But know that an Assault can do so better.
If you wish to run a Fine Rifle on your Sentinel, feel free.
But know that an Assault can do so better.

Hmm, I'm torn, on one hand, tuning up assaults is 100% the right thing to do and would be great for the game...on the other hand, my beloved Ion pistol is a sidearm

I still believe assaults should have super fast regeneration.
This allows them to respond to threats faster than any other unit after a battle, since they don't have to wait to regenerate or get logistics support, they can charge straight in, knowing that by the time they're in battle they will have full HP.

The assault class could really do with some love.
There are very few reasons to pick an assault over anything else.
Galassault? Would rather bricktank a Galscout or Gallogi.
Calassault? Yeah, no. I'll use something else. Callogi would be better, Calscout would do almost as well except having a load of EWAR and stuff.
Amarr assault? IMO, the only bonus that makes an assault suit worth using. Apparently randomly has one less slot than everyone else, though.
Minassault? Would rather use Minlogi. Calscout is better for shield skirmishing. CR clip bonus is pretty decent but it's pretty much the only redeeming quality on the suit.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.
