The thung is, if you remove the cap, who is to say that warpoint boosting, which has always and still occurs in PC will be stopped?
We all know booating bot WP and Kills occurs, and CCP have never lifter a finger to fix it or multiple other core issues... LP store parity, suit mix ups with slots etc, #list that would take 4 forrests to print.
Point is, CCP allow warpoint and killboosting in mechanics, and even though it's cheating and purely against fair play, CCP has never fixed it.
Just how many players will use this to pad their stats and increase to 100's of million SP characters in only weeeks?
Thing is, playing an unthrottled DUST, it feels like your normal SP, and is great as an ideal, 2 things,
1) this is where DUST earns it's lollie from ingame purchases
2) players currently abuse the system we have now, for two reasons,
A: CCP hase never changed the mechanics to stop WP and Kill boosting, wether it be in PC or OCEANIC
B: Where there is a will there is a way to abuse any set mechanics, and they will just do it on such a massive scale it would be game breaking if DUST character SP earnt per warpoints was unthrottled.
Great ideal, won't work in practice.

That's what I'm trying to say. The game is in such a sad state that it won't matter if we just merge those two and get rid of the caps altogether. Everything should be lower case now since FF.

Who cares?
Seriously, why are you guys worried about this stuff anymore?
The game is DOA, and Legion is a non starter. It will take them a couple of years to cancel it, but it won't come out , or if it does it will be Uprising redux.
CCP should stop pretending like Legion is going ot ever be worth anything, and just shutter Dust or give everyone enough SP to have everything proto right now.
Why people think that you need to protect Legion when CCP already knows that people boosted, cheated and glitched their ways to obscene amounts of SP and ISK.
It never mattered to them, it shouldn't matter to you.
The only reason for the cap was to restrict progress so people would buy boosters. If CCP ever cared about players wishes we would have got the rollover cap they promised 18 months ago.
Real AV doesn't stop until all the tanks are dead.
