Dust has to be one of the only games I know of that lacks a decent amount of structures to use as cover. Everything is so open. How are we supposed to fight tactically with expanses of open ground and clear unobstructed hallways? Also, why are there no doors? |

This is exactly why Project Legion is being made. To fix all of this sh*t.
But, this has been an everlasting question from the start. Some structures, but they're all open and have no inside :/
Just more reasons of CCP for ya.

CCP's patented recipe for FPS success:
95% open fields, dominated by tanks, dropships, snipers and drive-by HMGs 4% uncovered city areas, dominated by dropships, roof campers and OBs 1% shoebox-sized buildings, dominated by HMGs, shotguns and REs 0% terrain suitable for actual firefights |

Having a 'proper area for engagement' doesn't exist until the Ambush Team decides it exists.

Some planets might be freshly Terra formed.
But every single one?.
And some of those planets we are on are moons.
Or ccps art team doesn't do space.
So some of those best be moons I can see civilised planets from.
I think I'm understanding why some guys so badly wanted different weather now actually.

they got carried away with the whole idea of random map structures and random spawning and forgot about cover and map design in terms of movement and tactics.
EG Ambush OMS bridge with the 4 large blaster turrets and supply depot. 1 team spawns on the bridge and the other spawns 5-10 seconds away from the bridge, yay.
Or the number of times where both teams spawn in the same small corner of the map but one team spawns facing the buildings while the other team spawns on the high ground behind them and facing the backs of the first team.

It's actually a pretty decent balance. Don't really want vehicles fighting over 1 small corridor.
