I use my breach to harass the top players on the enemy team
1.8 will shoot my amarr logi in the face with an ion pistol then bury it under a caldari heavy.

I wouldn't say wreck... But it's more useful than a bolt pistol at close range

Which is why killing a proto fit player with it is so entertaining.
Make sure you equip nades as you need to dispose of their body or pick up a logi+them doublekill while they trumpet in rage.

i like my bolt pistol too, heck i use the basic more than my assault SMG, but that's because headshots with it or just bodyshots wreck scouts in general.
Plus, it's nice to have range with your nova knife/heavy hmg/viziam scrambler fits.
But i dont use it as a straight up primary weapon.... i use it to finish people or kill them from afar.
At close range vs an ACR/ASCR/AR/ARR/BR it is disadvantaged in terms of DPS ... Obviously
