Everyone is slow except the Min,players in my match can't scan me unless their cal scout,that mean I can get close to kiled them.Killed two heavies an 18 more scout and logi with only 6 deaths.It was really 4 deaths but I got killed by a sniper 2 times.tried to kill him but did not find him.Wasted my time so match ended.How does it work for you.

personally i don't think you should be using kin cats on your nova knifer, but i havent been doing it for very long so take it with a grain of salt
i'd much rather have 2 complex dampeners that way a Cal Scout or Gal Logi will really have to try hard to scan you down
being seen is instant death when you've got nova knives. at least for me it is.

DO kind of 'outrun' the stunlock? if I get seen. And cause I can flank so so fast and if you get behind cover I can run up on you so quick its so
much fun. Like Moody said, the difference between knifing and shotgunning is very little. I'm now stab happy.

Yup. Forgot to type that lol. Basic Minja 2 ADV kinetics knives primary SMG secondary REs as secondary's secondary.

I have to start doing this more. I'm prof 4 w/ knives and L5 min scout.
I've only spent like 20 minutes knifing, I should delete all my fittings except for one and knife for a month straight.

Was in an other game 6 min ago.Got 18-7.A gal scout with an combat rifle killed me 3-4 times.Got him back when he was hacking.Did not kill him fast 1 strike for every death.Ya what about you

Most knife kills I've had in a single match since the changes in 1.8 was only 7.
My average per match is somewhere around 2.5
Honestly, that's a lot. People are always watching for scouts and the only way for a Minja to remain undetected in PC is to run 3x complex dampeners and a proto cloak. but as soon as the cloak goes down everyone knows where you are.
It's not hard to get a kill in PC. It's hard to get a kill and then survive afterwards.
If you can't keep up, shut up.

The best k/d I ever got with knives as my primary was 18/2, but 1 or 2 were scp kills... It was in a pub skirmish match where we redlined the other team. But even if I did get a really good k/d once or twice with knives, it doesn't make them 'easy to use' suddenly. Most of the time it's a horrible, soul-wrenching, masochistic experience. I didn't regularly go k/d positive with my knives for a month. Nova Knives are still arguably one of the most difficult weapons to use in the game, and probably still will be after charlie, but I like that about them; it's a nice challenge.  |

That's the way I learned. M-1, ZN-28s and Assault ScP. Precision enhancers and dampers only, and you have about 200 eHP. It's hard mode to the nth degree.... you learn quick, and the kills are sweeeeeeet when you get them. And with the above fitting, it's possible to do well in a pub match at least, believe it or not.

Ultimately it depends on the situation. During normal gameplay I find setting up for a kill a waste of time and a hindrance to the team. The faster I can take a red down the less likely they can take a clone off our side. All too often I see a knifer chase his target around while be takes out team mates. Its selfish if you ask me. Therefore I shoot rather than knife 95% of the time. Not to mention they only really work in pubs without decent teams on comms else they're on to you the moment yo take the first one down.
For point defence yes they're very handy but a good primary weapon and RE's are far more reliable. I can't deny the power though (I have taken out some of the best heavies in the game in one swipe) but they fail too often, and fail hard. Recovering from that situation is almost impossible.
Plus its already a given that there are players defending so enemy comms are less of an issue - unless its to call more support, but then that's a win in itself.
I have concerns with regard to the proposed changes though. Right now they're failure is mostly down to poor player prediction. Yes there is also a hit detection issue but not sure how the 'adhesion' buff will relate to that. We shall have to wait and see I guess.

I've been toying around for a while now with the Combat Rifle + Nova Knives combo, and I'm finding it really effective: I can still kill enemies at a distance and can take out the heavies and logis up close. It's a very versatile fit and actually makes using knives helpful, rather than a hinderance, to my team. I highly recommend it.
