I don't understand this mentality. You aren't supposed to be able to run proto all the time ( only top 10% and paid corpmembers, probly the same guys, can ). One of my fits cost 250k ... never use it except to troll 1-2 a week ( usually while being stomped by officer gear in pubs ) basic is way better than milita and costs about the same while giving you a much better setup. Payout is higher. I run adv gear almost exclusively unless I'm going against a vehicle team then I bust out my proto forge/swarm to scare them off them back to adv gear. While giving away millions I've still saved a couple hundred million. But if I went proto nonstop I would burn though it in a couple months I bet.

Maybe if corps actually had to fight instead of paying not to be attacked, or paying someone to fight for them.... B!tch moves on each.

Unless your a sniper....here's a tip nobody likes snipers, but snipers.
Ohk on a logi that isn't tanked. Never heard someone get killed by a sniper and say "man that guy was good".
More like looking at the distance and saying "redline f@g"

Problem is, its teams of experienced proto vs. newbs destroying NPE. You can't tell who's good or " scrubs ". I'm consistently at the the top of the leaderboard with positive k/d, running mostly logi, (now not when I was a new, even got res camped 30+ times in a single round my first week, thanks troll  ). when this game dies don't blame CCP, blame q-syncing, proto stomping corps. We need a mode where it's impossible, tho all the "good" players would just leave round when it's not fun for them.
