I would like to find out the communities opinion on 80gj Railguns Without Damage mods.
For those of you who have never used unmoded Railguns an MLT takes one round short of overheat to kill basic Somas. For a decently Tanked Gunnlogi or Madruga even the 80gj Partical Cannon takes 5 to 6 shots to kill. The time to kill is low enough that it allows Baster or Missile tanks to engage and Kite the damage via evasive maneuvers (something I've noticed not a lot a tank pilots taking advantage of)
What is your opinion of unmoded 80GJ railguns. Are they fine and the Damage mods are the problem? or do the do to much damage even unmoded?

Their damage is insane even without mods, it is only compounded by the incredibly high increases given on damage mods. It needs to be rolled back to somewhere around 1450 at proto. Vehicle fights should not be about 'who gets the drop on the other with a damage mod and kills the other in 2-4 shots'

They should just go back to their old stats. Large turrets were mostly fine.............

Their fine as they are. Damage mods included.
I was surprised by the first double damage mod equipped sicas but I adapted. I watch for them and respond in kind if needed. Indeed, they have convinced me to use a cheap tank fit in the beginning of a match as it is better to 80k sica than a 150k madruger. Players ram my incubus with gorgons. Usually after I kill their python or their squad from the air. Sometimes it works, other times they die and I laugh.
Dust is about not playing fair. The developers didn't, ccp never has and neither do the players. This is new eden where getting stabbed in the back is expected. So, fight back. Kill them. If you cannot then learn how to or, I don't know, maybe afk until the end of the match. It is never more than 15 minutes from when you get ticked off. Switch to sniping or watch a youtube video from the MCC.
Find the solution you like. Play it. Kill reds. Rinse and repeat.
Nobody at CCP cares because we ain't Legionnaires.

Without them I find engaging a Rail tank to be manageable. Without engaging another tank is decidedly trickier, but how I feel the rail gun should be.

That may be fine in eve where you can largely ignore other people if you want to, but in dust it is ultimately highly destructive to the playerbase and health of the game as a whole. Attitudes like that are why we lose so many people before they can even come to enjoy the game.
