Regardless of whether the move it made to PS4 or PC, a move to a next-gen platform was ALWAYS on the cards for DUST. If Legion was being treated as a new iteration of the game rather than a separate project, I'd be in support of it EVEN it it's starting out PC-exclusive.
There are two things I don't support about Legion:
1. The abandonment of DUST
2. The lies (both direct and through omission) CCP subjected us to in the months before Fanfest.

As already said, the ideal candidate should at least put much effort into firmly trying to represent the console players that won't move to PC.
And like you, I respect the players who aren't willing to make that move, and would like to see more being done for them. At present, there really isn't much happening.
What really SHOULD be happening here is that, as I keep saying, DUST needs to have proper support continued, not this slacker skeleton crew break the established tier balance mess they're throwing at us so far. We need NEW CONTENT, even if it's limited. We need LONG-PROMISED features that have ALWAYS been well within the PS3's capabilities, like PvE and at the very least a "give item" button so we can work on putting together our own market system if they won't give us a semi-competent attempt at a player-driven market.
But I'm not running for CPM anyway (because of privacy issues), and I doubt anyone who agrees with me cares enough about both Legion AND the future of DUST to do so. |
