Or at least had a 5-10 second cooldown after placement before they can be detonated.
Otherwise you might as well rename them jihad modules.

Out of all of things to complain about RE's you choose this complaint. My complaint are invisible remotes. Another are remotes that go into the ground. You can't destroy it with a grenade (except flux) but when they detonate it it then blows you up. I don't like the fact that when it is thrown it looks to land in one place but then it is actually in another. Or how they slip off of tanks for no reason. Or how they just disappear in the redline so tanks and lav's go into the red in order to get rid of an RE.
Other than that, we all get caught by RE's. It happens. Get over it. It is part of the game. There is no reason to change it. Besides, your suggestion would completely eliminate a very effective AV tactic...big time.
I use RE's as well but not as much as of late choosing a more slayer type route. I have become quite paranoid for RE's so I am always firing around nulls, paying attention to the ground CLOSELY and watching my six while hacking or checking around for anyone hiding waiting to place one behind me. That being said, I still die.
Just because you die from something doesn't make it valid that you need to nerf it. You either get better or just deal with the reality that it will happen.
I'm fed up with people complaining about perfectly fine things b/c they get killed by it. It is just ridiculous.

What part of it eliminating a method of AV did you not read. Part of AV is being able to toss it on a tank. If I can't toss it on the tank how the hell do you expect for me to get it on there? Am I supposed to run up and touch the tank and hope it doesn't move in the least bit and then place it gently and then repeat? There are only a few highly effective AV tactics and RE's are one of them. OP is welcome to change the original suggestion to not eliminate an effective AV tactic. Until then it is a nerf.
For the record. If you pay very close attention they can only get thrown about 3 to 5m AT MOST. What you normally see is someone running and then moving backwards after placing them so it appears they are tossing it far further than they really are. The only other instance is if you throw it sometimes it will move an extra couple of meters to attach to a wall or vertical surface AND I WILL ADMIT that that element is broken.

Only a scrub would try to rush a tank, decloak, and attempt to use REs to destroy it35rgf . It literally gets you killed against any tanker who's not mentally ******** or AFKing.

Basically, the tankers you were fighting were 29.34x slower than the average human. Did you make this thread to make fun of mentally challenged players? Because If so, I'd be forced to report you. Removing the range of REs is a terrible idea, because it will remove their efficiency against vehicles; leading to REs being spammed against infantry, which wouldn't solve the problem at all (implying that one exists in the first place)
@Original Post
They can't be spammed as traps/frisbees simply because using one requires that the enemy does not use Flux Grenades (which is an issue of gross incompetence) and taking out multiple people requires the person to sneak up on you, in which case I could take care of the enemies with Nova Knives or Shotguns as well.
Let's look at the counters:
- Flux Grenades
- Active Scanners
- Competence / Situational Awareness
Have you tried using Mass Drivers to kill the person before s/he 'tosses' the RE? Have you tried using an Active Scanner to scan the RE? Have you tried paying attention to your surroundings and not traveling into the RE's blast radii?
If you've answered no to any of these questions, your QQ is frivolous as you have not attempted to use their hard counters, and determined that there was an imbalance based from that.
If you've answered yes to these questions, but are still having problems against RE users; your a scrub. I don't like being inflammatory, but it's the honest truth.

@Atiim, You forgot the flaylock. I use it at a distance to check for them often.
You make valid points.
Again, I agree that you have to relatively unskilled to let someone get anymore than 1 RE on their tank on one approach. Most tankers have sound effects turned up to 100% with everything by mic turned down. Even if they don't their squad should communicate it or they should see it happening. Obviously, I have practiced in tanks to know where the blind spots are depending on where the turret is pointed so I also use those.
Without going into it too deap. I gauge the HP. Normally a base armor of 4k means triple rep maddy. In order to get a number of RE's you have to "hit and run" so to speak. Wait until you can get it on there and sprint away (obviously 1x complex kinkat on Min Scout fit I use). If he is good he is going to hear the sound. Then I just need 1 anywhere on the tank and 1 AV nade. I throw two normally just in case. And then I detonate. I use AV nades b/c if I put a second RE then cook a flux it's going to be gone by then. It is a long drawn out process of hitting and running and keeping the tanker paranoid but it works against, even, skilled tankers. Again, put one on, cloak and run or just run. Catch up, do it again and repeat until at least three are on.
There are obviously other tricks like putting down while they are firing. Sometimes they back up or move forward and will not turn fast enough so I can sneak one more on with a trick I know before I have to get away but even I know that this is VERY risky and results in me getting killed more than half the time, by a good tanker.

Well, nvm. I went deep into it. That and I'm deliriously tired from work and am babbling on.
And yes, only a scrub rushes a tank to get one on by jumping on it. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I always sneak to the blind spot and then get, at least, one on the weak spot.
