So legion was shown at fanfest and it instigated a a storm, and rightly so after the in game events rolled out and fundamentally sucking as much money as possible before they showed that Dust was getting the axe when it is no longer financially viable.
CCP dealt with it not by saying that they will tie up loose ends, or telling us as much as possible about Dust's future, but simply dodging the real questions, and 'appointing' Rattati; someone who says himself that he isn't a dev, just a player as well also being with us for a while already so the 'appointing' means jack ****. Alongside that, he is essentially a CPM with a blue tag, and as we all know, CPM's are just as chicken **** and whipped by CCP and have little in the sense of morals with a particular CPM dominating PC using info that he gained (can't remember who in particular), and the rest not even hinting about Legion and that all our purchase are in vain.
And even with the dumping of a game people invested into given what you told them (10 year road map, PS exclusive, laser focused, PvP, P2P market), the milking and suckling of every last dime with your events, the mess of damage control 'appointing' an already in place 'Dev', immoral contracts with CPM's to disallow wistleblowing, alongside the general feeling of uncare towards this game, I still find myself thinking 'CCP will pull it out the bag right? Surely they will pay SOME attention still to Dust.'
Well I don't know why for any real reason, but the announced hotfix content, alongside the showing lack of actual care put into it, with the lack of showing it on the forums with a stick just puts a nasty taste in my mouth. I can see at this point, CCP just doesn't care, and is trying to poke us enough to get more money but in the end just doesn't care. This shows through in many places though, from the sounds of it EVE has been getting a rough time with proper CCP attention, World of Darkness was just dumped despite showing potential, and Valkyrie progress looks pretty stagnant.
Don't think CCP hates Dust in particular, CCP is just an all round ****** development company and I would even go as far as to say ****** company overall. |
