Unless you are good at either strafing or playing peekaboo, it won't do you much good in a straight up fight. Great if you end up on top of an engagement, regardless.
Personally, my most used Minmatar Sentinel stacks shield extenders and armour reppers, and my Gallente character exclusively active tanks.
I look forward to all the buffs my characters will be receiving. |

Basic: 2 -> 2.5 (25% increase) Advanced: 3 -> 5 (66.67% increase) Complex: 5 -> 7.5 (50% increase)
It pushes Armor Repairers into a similar place as Shield Extenders; the lower levels are complete trash compared to the higher levels. Might be pretty rough for people that can only fit basic. Advanced is twice as good and Complex is three times as good.

Reps per PG is still a strongly decaying curve so most will be able to fit a useful rep for their investment.

My heavy reps more armor per second than it does shield and without a delay while still keeping a good tank of 750 armor. |

I think it just maes advanced the go to choice for most people, complex only for those with plenty of fitting room and the SP to skill fully into them.

Now you have more shields then any armour suit can get, plus they can stack plates and not be worried about reps.

A request, if I may; keep a close eye on the Logi (and esp Min Logi considering their racial buff) use numbers post deployment of hotfix alpha. Much as with GalLogi and support use of active scans these changes have a direct impact on the viability of support actions and roles. Obviously it's not the only priority going, but I hope it's being tracked.

Not really when you invest in your core . The core is not just for weapons and if you have invested in your core ... it's not that big of an issue unless your one of those players who love to use two or three complex damage mods , the rechargers are on every fit that I have but that's prob because I use mostly Caldari . They are in a good place and is prob one of the few mods that actually function well noticeably .

With these changes armor repairers will become more useful but the Caldari is effected by not having but one low slot .. on top of the fact of having less armor as well while the Minmatar has the least HP's out of that class .
This must be by design but I feel like I should ask .

There is something glitchy about armor damage.
You ever get in a dual with a good Gal Assault or Logi? and you get to half their armor and it feels like they never die? Thats the power of armor reps and people will learn quick.
Getting 30 Shield per second Has been HUGE through 8 months of DUST's history and that comes with a big delay before it even kicks in.
At this point CCP is just throwing darts at a big Wall of balloons with no plan to hit anything particular..
These changes will fix nothing in the sense of balance, and we will be stuck With massive imbalances in the game again... Except they will be BRAND NEW PROBLEMS, not what we know from the last few months of testing... and thought have gained quality data from. |

Plates are OP, reps, not so much. Fitting costs and movement penalty will increase on plates, so that's good. Compared to plates, the reps sucked...but instead of just toning down the plates a bit, reps will be buffed at the same time to see what happens. If you have your hands on multiple knobs and dials, it would be kind of boring to only adjust one at a time, so, you're right, we will see a lot of rep tanks for the lols.

Two complex reps with the bonuses is llike 18-19...you normally had to use 3 reps to do that.
I can finally put 2 reps on my minmatar logi again! My sentinel will be even more of a repair beast though. I normally use two reps and a plate, but if you're talking about 30/s for only 3 then repair only it is :D

At one point before the repper nerf I had 3 reppers on my pro gal logi. The ability to pop back into battle fully repped in a seemingly small amount of time was orgasmic.
