CCP nerfs hard so that we all have to start from square one and reskill into FoTM to stay "competitive". This helps to make sure that everyone keeps playing the game. Makes up for a lack of content and traps the grindy scrubs.
CCP should do everything to win back its playerbase, no matter how small. Closed Vets and all.

It is because they don't change things one at a time, something they are doing now. "Tanks are too powerful. Let's lower their PG, remove Engineering from affecting them, and increase AV damage." Welcome to pre-1.7. Same thing happened in 1.7 just in reverse. "We are changing how vehicles work. We also know that AV has been too powerful against vehicles so they are being reduced in power." They don't want to just say "let's change this a little bit and see how it goes"; they do big sweeping changes along with other changes.

I've never really had to reskill because of a nerf...I've never skilled into FOTM, until after it gets nerfed ._. Also since I have every weapon skill to at least level 3 (PLC, Ions, and flaylocks not included) I wouldn't really need to Skill into anything... |

no it's because they're incompetent. good luck if you want to follow them onto the PC to see if they can get it right the THIRD time. hey third time lucky right?
after rebuilding the game twice surely they'll balance the weapons? no. no they won't.
Legion will be broken, riddled with bugs but of course there will be a fully functional micro transaction market in BETA PHASE.
and how could you seriously trust a slimy company like this after what they did... milk you hard, push out events, lie about things being fixed and added "SoonTM" and then they drop a huge nail in the coffin. |

I always spec something and down the line it becomes FotM. Like my GalLogi. Just waiting for my current selections to join the club.

But people spend a lot of SP to get proficiency and this is basically one proficiency level change.

What do you feel got over nerfed this time?
This actually feels like a fairly conservative nerfing. The AR/CR changes are so limited we probably won't tell a difference. The PlC changes are small and don't actually change the weapon (it's real weakness.)
The cloak changes actually seem pretty good, incentivizing use of a more advanced cloak. They don't even touch on the cloak delay.
The Gal scout suit got a heavy handed Nerf, especially with the cloak changes, but by no means is it a Nerf into oblivion.
The grenade change would be good with the exception of AV nades. |

I do, however, wish when they first designed the CR that they made it more significantly different than the AR.
