Galante scouts are slightly out of balance mostly for the possible unscanability by anything at all...But no changes to av, or the near invincibility of some tanks/ADS? ( I know their expensive... How many soldiers own their own jet? They should be.) paper/rock/scissors, let's see balance. CCP, what does most of the killing? Not what is being bought the most, it only tells us what's being destroyed the most. This next hot fix seems like it might cause a new problem, like even slower targets for tanks/ADS.

They want to make steps. One at a time. Probably because they have so few people working on the game right now but it is better. One of the problems with all of CCP's patches is that they have changed multiple things at the same time. "Hmm, tanks are too powerful. Let's nerf their PG, remove Engineering from helping their PG, and increase damage of AV." That leads to massive changes like 1.7 which swung too yet again by modifying vehicles and nerfing AV.
Small slow steps are favorable to big slow steps that take months to fix IMO.

1 v 1 your going to take on a tank without a serious tactical advantage when you booth know where each other is? Have you ever played paper rock scissors? Me thinks people are handicapped in these forums or pilots are trying to troll me.

they were buffing av grenades, increasing hmg/plasma cannon damage to vehicles, and reducing the effectiveness of blasters against infantry.
this is only hotfix 1, i doubt it will be the last nerfes to vehicles. |

So Gallente scout is unbalanced for being impossible to scan down when using two dampeners (it used to be one + cloak but the cloak dampening thing was removed), but having Caldari Scout see everything everywhere ever is fine?

Umm they can use 4 dampeners and if they do that then only a caldari using 4 precision mods should be able see them but... Nobody else. Rock Paper Scissors. No sidearm ... Ok if vehicles can only attack installation and each other ... Oh, sounds dumb when you think about it like that right?

You do realise the flip side to that is that vehicles should only be able to target either another vehicle or just infantry but not both including road kills.

That's one thing . I also brought down a Sica with a modified anti-armor starter fit (AV grenades and nanohive). I've been able to deal lots of damage to tanks with that fit, though it is a bit situational.

Like you spent millions of sp into infantry, some people spent millions in ADS, It takes the same amount of skill to get a python to level 5 as it does to get caldari logi to level 5. It takes the same amount of skill to get proto missiles as it does Proto Rail rifle but also remeber that you have to take small turret operation to level 5 which you only have to take to 2( I think) to get the RR, Also, don't forget that fitting stuff on a python isn't easy because it lacks so much CPU and PG. It takes a lot of sp to get complex shield mods and afterburners, it takes a lot of sp to get the skills needed to fit them. To properly fit python it takes one complex PG enhancement. You can get your own jet if you wish to but it takes 20x more skill to kill with python than it does to aim and shoot with a RR. When flying Python you have to avoid RDVs, you have to avoid tapping little things because it will bring your shield to like 0 (broken collision damage on shield vehicles). And at the end of the day, you have to watch out for double damage modded sica (77k isk) bringing down your 500k isk python in 2 seconds (2 shots).
You have no reason to complain about Dropships being OP because they're not. HTFU |
