About vehicle damage mods , I mean ... thirty percent doesn't sound like a bit too much to you ???
They can be stacked so that's even more when you can three shot someone with a militia rail gun and speaking of rail guns ... why don't you kill some of their damage ?
Anytime you can three shot someone with a double damage mod militia rail gun , that sounds a bit OP doesn't it ...???.. or is that your definition of balance or " windows of opportunity " ?
Fix the damage out put on the rail guns or do something about the damage mods , unless you just think that their fine or you just don't care .
A freaking militia rail gun and tanks for that matter , is zero investment but maximum reward .
Is that your definition of balanced ???

Yeah damage mods are a little lol after the hardener nerf.
I, personally, think it should be more like this:
Magnetic Rail Amplifier 10% Damage to Railgun - Low slot - Passive
Ballistics Control Module 10% damage to missiles - low slot - passive
Hybrid-Plasma Heat Sink 10% increased RoF and decreased heat build up for blasters - high slot - passive.
then lower blaster rof by about 40% and rebalance damage to maintain dps as well as add significant dispersion. |

Sometimes people just see imbalance and try to do something about it . I own proto turrets with op as well so I don't have to worry about that part of the story .
Yes I find it troubling when I invest SP's into anything and someone can just touch base and hit the ground running .
That negates my effort and the SP's that I have placed into that role and I'm sure if it was anyone else that had common sense , they would step up and talk about it , now something being done is a different story and is not left up to me but seeing this is troubling .
It shows imbalance because these people are getting something for nothing when I'm investing multiple times the effort and SP's into something that someone with ZERO investment can come along and wipe away in an instant .
Tactnet is flawed because it doesn't show the vehicle on the mini-map half the time and when it does , it's not highlighted like me or my troops are ... the are not red , it's black and doesn't show up clearly and vehicle to vehicle combat is a whirlwind .. meaning you don't see the vehicle unless it's right up on you and that's sometimes with a scanner .
If infantry suits were like militia tanks then no one would be able to talk about proto stomping because it would negate the SP's invested , just like it's doing to vehicles .
It should change like infantry like Munch mentioned .
Thirty percent is too much .

If people in MLT gear are competing 1v1 with you in your particle cannon tank, you need a new role. Your single damage modded particle cannon has the same as his 2x modded MLT railgun, and you still have two high slots to fill.
Should damage mods be nerfed it must be to the same degree; none of this 'nerf rail damage mods twice as hard as blaster mods'. Dunno if you guys have ever been in a match with Duna or milkman?

Are you thinking about what your saying before you do so ..???... how many game have you played where there was just one tank on each team ??? I haven't played many like so and most of the time it is my one tank against two or three so you do the math and tell me what the success rate of that would be seeing as many of you like to throw around numbers , it has nothing to do with skill more than it does with a mechanic that somewhat balanced .

Everything that involves infantry , like vehicles ... can be destroyed so there is no " GOD mode " in this game . Wake up , you play the same game as everyone else .. it's like complaining about proto stomping which most of the time it's established players who run BPO's and cheap gear who complain about players who do such , the same players who use to run double and triple stack infantry damage mods while not using a Forge or a Swarm ... items that should have that type of enhancement .

I Wish CCP would have the staff on the forums to be like "Hmmm this Shinobi Guy has a point but does it actually work out in math?"
Then spends 30mins to an hour making the spreadsheets and graphs to see if it all works out, to even start to form an opinion on if your idea is valid after actually backing up that the math is there.
In reality and looking at both sides... It doesn't make alot of sense in the reality of the situation.
Where you can just grab the data. Do the math, figure out the spreadsheet.. Spent about as much time as you have on this thread. And had Clear concise evidence to present CCP, that they could then do something with.
If you didnt get a response here? Then you can jump on their IRC and no matter what anyone tells you... Developers Get turned on by good math and sexy spreadsheets... You would probably end up with a conversation on your hands

This is interesting like what was mentioned before you but this is more like 1.6 was and that's more along the lines of how it should be .
I really miss the mechanic's of 1.6 besides the fact of the imbalance between anti-vehicle and vehicles .
The mods and skill tree were perfect .

I believe the rail gun being the go to is an attempt at Eve integration. Its a way for capsuleers to play dust without having any real skill at FPS. No SP or real isk investment. just point click win. |

I understand but I just can not invest the time to do so and if that makes my effort null and void then so be it . I'm not judge or anyone else , it's just not enough to bring something to light . That's CCP's job not mines . You can call that lazy but what is more , is doing nothing and not even looking into it to begin with . If I'm wrong then I can admit that and wouldn't have any problem doing so but I'm not doing the work for a company that doesn't care enough to look into it , test and see ... also listen to those who they expect to test materials for them as well . Next I will be expected to get coffee and doughnuts and wake up and fly to Iceland and China in time enough to make sure the coffee I still hot for them in the morning . There was a time when someone could stand on their word and it meant something , I understand investigation and all but I do believe that's their job . Thirty percent is just too much . No offense intended . Also doing all of that and still not have any change or implementation would be truly worthless . How many things that people like that have done that was actually implemented into the game ? No offense intended or taken through this. I Wish CCP would have the staff on the forums to be like "Hmmm this Shinobi Guy has a point but does it actually work out in math?" Then spends 30mins to an hour making the spreadsheets and graphs to see if it all works out, to even start to form an opinion on if your idea is valid after actually backing up that the math is there. In reality and looking at both sides... It doesn't make alot of sense in the reality of the situation. Where you can just grab the data. Do the math, figure out the spreadsheet.. Spent about as much time as you have on this thread. And had Clear concise evidence to present CCP, that they could then do something with. If you didnt get a response here? Then you can jump on their IRC and no matter what anyone tells you... Developers Get turned on by good math and sexy spreadsheets... You would probably end up with a conversation on your hands Sounds reasonable and I understand .
I don't find it reasonable.
There are problems and solutions period. Graphs, spreadsheets, videos, pics, etc. Are irrelevant when the issue is already known and what could be possible solution, but CCP obviously is not working on that maybe for Legion or far away in the future(SOONtm).

And what about the Redline issue?. It would be simpler to just instantaneously kill or kick from the match anyone who goes out but nothing has been done about. So it will be the same with tanks.

So, its ok for a tanker to go 30+kills w a blaster tank? If u are busy picking at infantry and any tank rolls up behind you, who cares? Trolling infantry when there is no solid av option is much worst. Stop QQing.
They need to triple costs of tanks to make a risk/reward line more balanced imo |
