I only got to play 2 days of the beta, but I liked what I saw.
May give it a go.
I've never had particularly exceptional FPS skills.
But put me in a cockpit and watch what happens.

read an article that stated it would not have dogfights. Like 8 vs 8 or something..?..they said they have the mode done but wouldn't put it in the game because they want it to be 'fair' for all players....
so here we get just PvP and there we only get PvE....?
anybody else here this ?
oh, and HELL YEAH i'll be there anyway..
I find a corp I like just when the game is dying....figures....

Its on the japanese store in english, complete english  , i downloaded it awhile back and now have a LV3 tomcat.
The way it works is you have two teams, alpha and bravo, who compete against each other to get the most PvE kills. But apparently they might be adding a PvP mode, just not yet, but it's been hinted at. If any of you guys want to get some games let me know @ nelo_vergil8909 :D. |

I'll be playing it tomorrow, don't like the idea of having limited fuels to play online and the campaing but if I like it then I might pay the 20$ for the campaing pass at least (great way to farm money and levels for the planes and the progress tree)
For all those who are playing right now, how is the fuel system? its tolerable or something? last time in the beta you replenished one fuel every 3 or 4 hours, is that still the same or they changed it?

It's remained the same, however stocked fuel is easier to come by via challenges (which are various achievements) and limited drops (end-mission random rewards). The fuel system will probably become an issue later on, but it's fine when just starting out. Keep in mind that it is designed to run out.

I understand, well at least they made a smart move with the 20$ pass for the campaing, that way people will be able to farm without relying too much in the multiplayer and their fuels, and credits lol.

Just popped in the Locker Room section after never really frequenting it to see this thread. And then proceeding to download the game. And popping $20 for the Campaign pass.
So far loving it. Yes, the fuel system isn't as great as playing as much as you want, but to be honest, after 3 play sessions, my mind wanders anyways, so it's not bad.
Besides I've got Dust. Or Legion. Or whatever we call it nowadays.
Or War Thunder.
Or Kerbal Space Program.

Level 4 tomcat.... so close don't know if i even want the F16C since my tomcat will outclass it hella bad by the time i get the euipment and the plane itself. |

it's cool and reminds me that CCP could've done soooo much better than what they did, but that's old chat by now.
The lack of shooting others (PvP) is hard to adjust to now after playing Dust for a year....but like others said, it's only till the fuel runs out...
then...back to Dust
I find a corp I like just when the game is dying....figures....

It's not that bad honestly, the only thing they could fix is to raise the fuel cap, instead of 3 they should give us at least 6 or 8, and it should be restocked every 2 or 3hours not 4, but yeah I'm enjoying it a lot and I'll be getting the campaing pass soon... I really want to get a Flanker.

But.. then it would never really run out, and defeat the whole idea behind the fuel system.
The problem is, actually, the fuel system entirely. If they're gonna sell online time then they should be offering comprehensive passes or subscriptions. Paying for individual play sessions is tedious and shoddy.
Micro-transactions within a free-to-play is best centered around the selling of customization and convenience. The success of game developers, in general, when it comes to implementing micro-transaction features have had wildly various results. And despite alllll the blunders Shanghai has stumbled through when it comes to creating their MMORPGBBQFPS, their AUR system is well executed.
Bandai-Namco/Project Aces is shooting themselves in the foot with their fuel system as it hinders a player community, and as an AC fan that makes me sad.

I've been playing this for a week (downloaded off the Japanese store). Unfortunately, my PS3 yellow-lighted on Sunday, but it should be back from the repair-shop soon. Anyway, shoot me a friend request if you need a decent wingman.

So far, I think the gameplay is fantastic, and I absolutely love the Dubai and Alps maps. My only real complaint about the AI is that the aces you come across in Emergency missions have an annoying trait of simply hax zooming out of harm's way whenever I get a missile off, and that just feels kinda cheap.
By the way, how many of you have gotten a Moby **** Pursuit mission? I've had about four already.
