This is the build I'm going for. (If someone can recommend an AMD processor with similar capacities to the i5-4670 I'd be much obliged  ).

Just a reminder for those that arent in a hurry to upgrade / build, wait Intel release their new CPU lineup, codenamed Devil's Canyon:

They will be better processors with better thermal performance, so your CPU will produce less heat (better dissipation) allowing for better overclockability if you are into this.
Regarding builds, onyl add Bluray if you really is going to use it for watching movies in the living room. Besides that, they are pretty worthless as pretty much in PC nowadays is digital, including watching movies thru streaming. For OS installation issues, include a dvd player, its cheaper and will allow Windows installation. |

I wish I was on an unlimited budget :D

I think you will have 6-8 months to watch for sales and bargains. If you buy one or two parts at a time, you can usually find mail-in-rebates and refurbished parts from various online and local retailers that are significantly cheaper than the new parts. The hardest part is waiting for deals when you have a half-finished computer sitting around collecting dust (heh).
