Is this going to give me acceptable performence and is it worth 710 euros (972.49 dollars) (578.17 pounds)? What could it handle? And is 16 gb ram really useful for gaming?

Otherwise yea In all honesty not really a build. It's a set PC they're selling at my favorite shop. I am kind of not happy with the Graphics card as :(

Nvidia is inconsistent and overpriced. AMD has heat problems (which can be easily overcome if you set the rig up with a decent cooling system), but otherwise is better.
Also, why are you thinking about buying a premade PC?

What the guy some posts above me said, "Get a SSD in that *****". Carful with the PW Supply, your cutting it close with the Wattage go for an 800+ if you can, means you have space for over clocking and future upgrades.

In all honesty I am just trying to understand how this stuff works. Because some things seem to be useless - i7 intels and 16gig ram seems unnecessary for gaming.

I already answered your first question. And you'll be spending far more (Anywhere near $1500) for a half way decent one (jumping around 40 FPS at high-max assuming it's similar to EVE/War Thunder requirements). Actually probably more. Not worth it imo.

AMD vs Nvidia is famboyism.
Buy whatever you feel more confortable with. Nvidia being inconsistent is trashtalk.
For whatever complaints about nvidia you will find the same ammount from amd. |

Thats right.
You are not bound to buy all pieces of the same vendor.
Its beautiful :)
Only thing you have to watch is that if going with an AMD CPU, the motherboard chipset must be compatible.
GPU / videocards are all PCI-express, so no worries with that. |

This system will never exceed 350W of power draw (if even that) so that PSU is more than enough.

I would not buy a PC for legion yet. Wait until they announce a date for closed beta. By that point we'll probably be in a new generation of hardware.
Unless you are buying to play other games today. In that case... have you considered building a rig? Its almost always more cost efficient and its not nearly as hard to do as it might seem. |

Don't buy a premade - You can easily go somewhere such as TigerDirect or Newegg and put it together yourself. Make sure you look up reviews on anything you buy and compare it with prices of similar products. Anything you buy from a manufacturer or from someone who already put it together is going to charge you more, so save your money!
Make sure everything you buy is compatible and 'future-proof'. |

Right, it's always better to build your own than buy pre-made. Pre-made generally skimp on powerful components to drive up cost for profit so you can usually spend the same amount and get a better build by doing it yourself or having a friend do it for you. You also have more freedom to dictate what kind of cutbacks you want to make on your system, if necessary. It's nice having a really expensive video card but honestly, you're probably not going to need that much power - it's just something you'd want to get if you have a lot of expendable income and don't want to upgrade your build until your hard-drive crashes five-seven years later.
If you want to play it safe, go with Intel + nVidia or AMD + AMD. Dicking around with chipsets for competing brands might work but you'd better make sure you know, without a doubt, that there won't be a hardware incompatibility.
Another consideration you want to keep in mind is CPU Socket Type, try to future-proof that as much as you can. There haven't been many changes in PCI slots for mother boards over the past few years but processor socket type seems to make leaps and bounds every few years which will quickly prevent you from upgrading without having to buy a completely different motherboard/CPU/RAM set-up. This was my problem last year.
Start with the mother board if you can help it and work from there. If you can futureproof that as much as you can you won't have any problems.

I went with AMD because the new consoles have AMD processors, so I figured ported games would run smoother. So far I've encountered a few problems that I believe were caused by using AMD over Nvidia, but they were minor. I don't think it matters much.

Never buy AMD. Ever. It's cheapy trash.
Also, CCP games always work best with NVIDIA. They're buddies, and CCP optimizes their games primarily for NVIDIA.
