Took the family to Disney World for a little over a week (14 hours in a car each way...I actually have more grey hairs on my head as proof!) so I haven't been able to see what's been going on. Can anyone catch me up on some things?
For example: 1. Was 100% ever obtained? 2. How many corps have folded as a result of Fanfest? 3. Is the donut still a thing? 4. Any major shake-ups in terms of corps moving between/creating alliances? 5. Any new wars going on, or is it still mainly OH and WTF vs. the Donut? 6. Is the game more "fun" now for the casual player (like me?) 7. Anything else worth sharing--i.e. Mike Patton is the greatest musical genius of his time/it's a scientific fact that music peaked in the 90s/Alison Brie is the hottest woman in the world, etc.
Thanks for your time!

Good God. 14 hours? In my head is a less funny Chevy Chase family road trip movie.
Really into RPing your corp huh? LOL
:-)
lol jk, hope you had fun.
And yes, Alison Brie is the hottest woman in the world. Listening to her on the Nerdist right now ACTually :-P
in other news, all i know is that NO ... 100% was NOT achieved, Nova Knife ***** slapped Kain in public (the former was kicked from CPM... the latter taking an unrelated game break and gave away all of his districts). It appears to be back to a Nyain Cat dominated world after a bunch of districts were given away and 'stuff' in kind of a hectic confusing "uh, Bill, what's going on?" "I dunno Ted, but if we're not gonna quit the game, we might as well get a district" kind of way. And everybody's back in Tso's.

Legion was announced, people freaked the hell out, AE, Nyain San, G0DS, Cap Acq, DDB, FA all left DNS.
The corps that left then preceded to completely dismantle DNS and Escrow.
Kain announced that he will no longer attempt to defend his districts, war is over.
AE gives away almost all districts to corps that they think deserve think.
Nyain San absorbs Escrow's lost districts, redistributes some of them.
General Tso's Alliance receives a huge boost with new, powerful corps joining.
PC is more diverse with small corps fighting for districts and new rivalries brewing.
That's the short version.

1. No, thanks to us in D.L. and O.H. holding a district a piece it was not obtained. I believe WTF stopped caring due to FF. 2. Not many exactly. 3. Nope, war broke out between DNS and everyone else after AE was kicked and everyone except TP and ERA left DNS. 4. Yes, see above. After the war AE, DDB, CA, NS, and others join TSO alliance, and SVER left it to join DNS. 5. See above. 6. Definitely, AE and others gave districts to many corps after the war, see star map. 7. Thats mainly it, besides the majority of AE retiring or going to other corps. |

Anything I missed in my forum lurking? Kain didn't give away his districts. His Dust corps all bailed on him and took their districts with them.
The blue donut is currently still a thing, but now the blue donut is being held by an alliance that actually wants to help fix Planetary Conquest and make Dust fun again.

AE was kicked out of DNS? Or did they leave? Was this before or after many/most of their players left Dust? Is there a correlation between FA re-joining GTA and SVER leaving? My last vacation occurred right after FA joined GTA and I came back to find FA had left to join the "enemy" so it seemed as though there was some bad blood as a result.
To be honest, though, looking at those corps that have joined up under the Alliance...hasn't a new donut simply replaced the old one? Are we moving/returning to more corp v corp battles instead of alliance v alliance?
I have to admit, taking a two week or so break from the game has been a great way to rekindle interest; I hope things remain interesting now that the initial shock of Fanfest has worn off and people realize that they can go back to having fun in Dust and enjoy whatever amount of time it has left.

AE was kicked only because Kujo was on hiatus for 3-4 days while ignoring the messages, "how the hell do we leave DNS?". Once we were kicked Kain/Fiddle did all the 'bringing of people together' for us as everyone hates them. It was very EZ and the actually war, lasted about 4 hours, tops!
Star Map is shook up, take a look and see. Now the problem is, preventing smaller corps from hiring the same 40-50 guys to fight for them.
Game is still fun, at least for me, although I don't play near as much.

Your friggin right tho, stop using high end corps as a crutch guys.
Next thing will be "GG, corp X had more of these ringers than corp Y. Only reason you won."
Gonna take a little self-control. OH is starting to only allow no more than 4 ringers, to not tip the scale too much. It's fuggin hard when your corp has no PCs and people want you to ring. I'm guilty of that already.
