I have proto, 5 highs WERE amazing when damage mods did something. Now all they're good for is adding to my recharge delay by adding pathetic 66hp extenders with ridiculously high PG costs.
And 2 lows on a proto is pathetic.

Surely since you're focusing 'all'(lol) of your efforts into number tweaking, surely we could give the plc a 100% damage buff and then record the progress(accounting for the extreme popularity it will gain now that it's useful) and maybe bring it down to 1700?
Also @min weapons names:
The minmatar DO kinda depict their weapons as sci-fi 2000's guns.
So technically, even though it's the 'm-512 SMG' it's an SMG.
The magsex though... It's not a SMG. It's a pocket sized rapid fire railgun platform.
'Magsec rifle' or something not connotating SMG will make it easier to balance, as it's no longer an 'SMG' but a pocket RR.
Also ENTIRELY off topic: how does a railgun (of any type) have ANY kick?
All it is is a magnetic tube that 'propels' a projectile by using a force field to push the projectile.
If anything... And this isn't true, it would kick BACKWARDS. Not up.
Then again, nothing besides Missle turrets and Combat Rifles would 'kick'.

You DO realize it has one shot per barrel, long reload times, lousy splash, and short range, right?
Have you ever used a Plasma Cannon. You can still OHK anything except beefed up heavies with only one point in operation. Bumping up the damage MIGHT save it as a proper AV weapon, but the plasma shot still has a slow travel time. |
