Now why would they make a gun that's just a stronger LR for Heavys? More then likely not going to happen.
What he is referring to is they will be able to make new "variants" of currently existing guns, since variants are replicas of the original with tweaked stats, this is easily achieved.
Do not expect to see a Shiny new toy, just new variants.
I read it the same way, too. I don't see anything that leads me to believe an Amarr heavy weapon is gonna happen.
PC 2.0 is nice but I dunno if that's really enough to get me to play again either.
So, I'm left with only one thing I read that might bring me back... new officer weapons. Gimme some officer laz0r rifles and I might think about it, but since salvage is so lame and random it's a longshot unless....
it was an event reward! Lets say for every x number of kills you get with a certain weapon you get one officer variant of that same weapon! Now we're talking!

Also, I understand that a real player market would be too large an investment to justify in a dead-end game, but why not a simple trading system? We can give eachother ISK, why not inventory?
I send my buddy 5 proto gallente suits, he gives me back 5 equivalent Amarr suits. You (CCP) don't need to do anything else on your end. We can set our own terms, no guarantees, no returns, caveat emptor, dude!

Because as it stands, the EVE/DUST link will not be worked on anymore so why not use it simply as a background, i think a lot of the remaining players would like it very much.
Also, a PLC event would be hilarious, just give people some free PLC's and have a plasma lobbing feast.
Maybe a headshot event? extra wp for headshots? In the case of nova knives that would be jugular slid bonus points.
Combined with the week of Melee Mayhem.
