But as consoles move forward there basically cheap PC's that limit you in my eyes, for example every game on both the Xbone and PS4 requires you to install the game to your harddrive (same as a PC), the game as well as the system must update in order to play (Same as a PC). Hell there even using the same architecture as a PC. So whats the Advantage of Console again? Plug and play, guess what it took me a whole minute longer to setup my PC
Since then i sold my PS4 (and made a profit XD) and built a custom PC. Its not the most powerful but it can run Planetside 2 with everything turned to MAX and still stay at 60 Fps and it drops down to around 50 Fps in the bigger battles at nighttime.
Now when i built this, i knew very little about the different Graphics cards, processors and motherboards, hell i was just like most of the people on this forum and thought that i needed to drop 2500-3000 to get a good gaming PC. But guess what i did my homework and put together a PC that not only can run every game on the PC but can run it at 1080p and +60 Fps.
I have Plenty off options to upgrade, from buying a second graphic's card and running it in SLI config and essentially doubling my Graphic's power, to overclocking everything to Squeeze that raw power out. The options are there and that's what i've grown to love about the PC, i have the option to tweak my Rig to fit my Needs.
I game with someone who Runs 2 GTX Titans in SLI mode and she started off playing console games, Dust 514 was her first online game she ever played. Just one of those Cards cost as much as my PC XD and thats pretty much overkill.
Here's a fun Fact i've spent a total of 50 dollars on PC games since i got my PC Jan 2014, alot of the games i play are free to play, such as Planetside 2, Hawken,Warthunder, World of Tanks, Rift, etc and the games that i've spent money on have been mostly early access games like Space engineers, prison architect. Then there's EVE online XD.
Now there's alot of you that are ignorant or misinformed when it comes to PC gaming and it will be sad to see stuck on outdated console that will be unsupported in the next few years.
I hate to state the obvious, but for every console gamer that either dons't or can't upgrade to a PC for Legion you will have at least 3 or more PC gamer to take your place, Its the cold hard truth.
So long live Legion on the PC!!
I love it when people state opinions as though they are facts.
Do you have any sort of source other than your opinion that there are more PC gamers out there than console gamers?
To be honest i would put money on there being more console gamers than PC gamers for the very reasons you listed. 1 being initial investment. Its been about the same over the years that to build a GOOD gaming rig you can expect to drop somewhere around 1k$ on a gaming pc that will last. Consols are significantly cheaper and here is the thing aa game made for a ps3 the day the console came out and a game made for the ps3 6 years after the console came out run just fine on the ps3.
PC devs have no idea what kind of hardware you have they have to try and make a game that will work on most of the hardware they THINK is out there being used.
here is an article that also suports what i think of pc vs console.
