I know it is early,
I know I have raged along with alot of our community, 
I am still playing dust everyday 153 days login..... and counting will be there till you flip the switch 
But my question is, do you have a general system spec for what will be needed to run Legion (high and low end)
just a general ball park, need to think about getting my PC ready,
played Eve from Exodus, 
played dust for begin Oct 2012, 
will play Legion..... as long as we are not screwed for SP/TIME(!!!) and our assets  |

If that serves as a pointer, have been using a nvidia gtx570 OC with 1.2gb of ram, and it pretty much runs all that I throw at it.
If I was to upgrade today, not thinking about saving money nor thinking about burniong it all, I would try to get my hands on a gtx 770.
I hear that the gtx 750 ti is a good choice to match the actual generation of consoles, nvidia side.
But if your objective is playing Legion, I would suggest waiting.
Untill its readdy to beta test, the market will have already shifted, new powerful things will be out already.
Its not to say a gpu you buy today wont run it, but the best thing with PC's is to upgrade when you need to upgrade. If you dont need to, better wait and buy in the future. |

According to CCP Saberwing there has been no official word on what the specs will be and that will take a long while to determine since legion is still in prototype phase. At the very least we know that DX11 will be one of those minimums.

Windows 95
300mb processor
265mb ram
1gb of free disc space
Grahpic card with 128mb visiual memory shared and opengl+
Think thats about it

Pure speculation obviously... but the most recent "fps" I found build on unreal 3 is the new thief, here's the spec from steam
Minimum:
OS: Windows Vista with Platform Update for Windows Vista
Processor: High-Performance Dual Core CPU or Quad Core CPU
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: AMD Radeon 4800 series / Nvidia GTS 250
DirectX: Version 10
Hard Drive: 20 GB available space
Recommended:

i7 for gaming seems overkill. |

We know for certain that DirectX 11 will be the bare minimum requirement, so at least we got some idea of what to expect.

Eve specs
Ez guess really.
Eve is bigger, but legion will be more actiony because it's an fps so give or take a few cpu and whatever.

Tweety bird, I already know that I can run it, and run it well; I just want o know how good that I can run it. I have 2x 290X's, and I'm getting a 270X SOONtm, as well as appropriate motherboard/CPU to match (because I'm not a scrub who uses inconstant hardware *cough* Nvidia *cough*). I'm ready for Legion, and I got the gear to prove it.

Two 290x will be overkill for any game, especially Legion.
Also, CCP has some heavy partnership with NVIDIA, so I'm assuming all of their special effects and what not would work better on NVIDIA cards than AMD cards. (Though your system is just so overpowered it can just brute through it)
