If the PvP hits off in destiny then I'll be there but I can't stand games where the end game is bashing bots. I'm also not interested in arena type/half arsed PvP side modes.
I have researched it and destiny seems that it'll be very pve centric with arena PvP side modes.
If the story doesn't match up to Isaac Asimov's foundation series at least as well then count me out. That much spent on creating a game and over that period of time had better be nothing short of amazing.
Isaac Asimov was one guy with a brilliant mind who wrote books.
How many work for bungie that have aeons of inspiration to go by?.
Best be amazing.
PS He was also a scientist.
Eve Legion FTW!

PS He was also a scientist. Yeah. Good stories are fundamental to any game, movie or book. Read this : http://www.baenebooks.com/p-694-northworld-trilogy.aspx
That is a bland cookie cut super hero type story and is only a trilogy.
I don't understand what I'm supposed to be looking at or learning on that page.

Read this : http://www.baenebooks.com/p-694-northworld-trilogy.aspx northworld would be a hell of fun series to make into games. Yep. It has cool armoured suits with plasma cutters and the matrix creation but above all the story is whats really good. I keep hopeing that it either gets a video game or an action Sci-Fi movie.
OK now I'm certain I have read that but its very vague in my mind.

Is it rather strange to picture and a war starts and..........
If it is what I think it is then its very strange and very exotic sci fi
But I have read a plethora and most of Asimov's books.

But I have read a plethora and most of Asimov's books. The North World series is based on Norse Mythology. And it definitively is an exotic setting but above all its a good read. There are many books avialable for free from known Authors at the Baen Library. Either read online or select a free download to read on tablets, laptops, phones, etc.
Nice. Sounds like decent story and back story.
I'll try to remember but my list of books to read stretches into the next 5 ish years lol.

I'm guessing you have read neuromancer?.
Apparently where the fundamentals for the matrix came from.
I'm going to play dust so sorry for Kate reply and hopefully this is not buried beneath notifications lol.
I have always enjoyed reading as well. I am very nearly 27 now.
I guess that really does make you the original Tech. I shall now be referred to as Tech2 in your presence.

Cyzad4 wrote:I grew up on Harry Harrison, David Drake and Larry Niven so yeah most of the best sci fi is pre 90's with a few exceptions (none that I can't think of though but I assume there has to be some) I listen to audiobooks at work almost every day and just got through a pile of Phillip K **** which is some brilliant stuff.
Im pretty annoyed that only I robot was made when theres about 6 books in that series.
Same goes for lord of the rings in the fact that the films just a walk in the park over a week it seems.
Its always nice to see that stuff come to life but the books are awlays better i think.
