ISD needs to be a higher priority. I, like many others, have been pressing for Dust 514 ISD for many months and the procs outweigh the cons. The interpretation hat there needs to be a test server for ISD to work is one of the major miscommunications that surprised me at fanfest and its silly, minute barriers like this that need to be sytematicallt identified and tackled so we can get some progress going.
ISD can only serve to better, well, everything. It offloads work off of CCP so they can focus on development instead of bug tracking, and the more power the community has to make a difference the better. Bughunters, new player mentors, there's a plethora of things that could go a long way to saving the game -right now- and not a few months down the road. Imo, the best teacher for a new player is an older player, not a tutorial.
Anyway, said my piece and I'm sure it just sounds like I'm repeating what Kain and I were berating you guys with at Fanfest. All I can say is make it happen, see the results, thank us later xD

The meeting minutes are the product of the council, not CCP, and as such it is their decision on whether to release any minutes. However at this stage they are waiting for me to send them the recordings before they can begin any work and make their decision. Is there a reason the recording must be put in word form and the recording not released? Or can both be done if the recording is edited ?
NDA material, unfortunately.

This would have been good a year ago. Now it seems like asking the inmates to polish the gallows. Not build it please note. The gallows is in place and it being polished will not change its eventual use. And CCP will ignore whether the gallows was polished nor will they care who did the work.
What they do care about, and always have, is not providing any additional resources to dust players of any grouping. Even if doing so would produce a better product, a better player experience and improved perception of their own abilities.
CCP doesn't care, they don't have to, they are EVE. HTFU. Their attitude gets a little old, don't ya think?
It's not that CCP doesn't care, trust me on that. At Fanfest we discussed some of the barriers of entry as to why ISD wasn't happening anytime soon and all. I think it came down mostly to a misconception that it was necessary to have a test server for the ISD guys to operate on and that's not at all the case. I have a youtube channel chock full of video evidence for bug reports and what I usually did was scroll through the Bugs section of the forums, find what someone had reported, found it, recorded it and then forwarded it to CCP Saberwing (who was incredibly helpful and a very important asset toward getting a lot of those bugs nipped in the bud).
The thing is, CCP sees things that we don't. We see it as some kind of incompetence or apathy; they see it as a technical issue, an inability or a liability. You have to take a step back and think of it from their perspective. If your job puts food on the table for your family, and some dude comes up saying "Yeah dude, lemme help you with that, I won't even ask for money!" - you gotta kind of consider how they looks. I'm sure it sets off a red flag to their QA department, lol.
