I mean dont do cross-platform gaming PC and ps4 in one room.
We want no cheaters when we play on our consoles. We left PC platform because there is cheaters (not so many of them, but everywhere) everywhere.
All PC's multiplayer games ruined by cheaters of any kind.
You already made big mistake with support mouse+keyboard and gamepads in one time. Dont make bigger mistake. Their main mistake was trying to go console in the first place. |

Yeah, CCP too incompetent to make games on consoles (at least as shootermakers). But concept of game was great, and sad to see how it died on ps3, and will die on PC. In fact, on PC in this game will play EVE players only. Other people will choose games with better quality, as it was on ps3. They wont wait while CCP will transform crap to candy.
You console guys really take the cake. Once you learn to spell, then come discuss how or why a game might succeed or fail. Until then, it's like arguing macroeconomics with my five year old niece.

They didt balance mouse vs gampad in dust514. I dont believe they will make good balance platform vs platform. Plus problem of cheaters.
Dude, you need to just quit.
PC gaming almost dead? Here: http://store.steampowered.com/stats/ and that's just Steam. Here's an article about where the money iscurrently coming from: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/04/analyst-pc-gaming-now-brings-in-more-money-than-console-gaming/
Gaming companies are in the business to make money. They will follow the money, which right now means more emphasis on PC and Mobile than consoles.
Here's the deal regarding the future, no one knows, but there's a reason that Microsoft went all "entertainment console" with the XBone. You want to know why? It's because the console market is currently being squeezed from both sides. If any market is about to implode, it's consoles as dedicated gaming platforms. You have mobile squeezing from the low cost, casual gamer side (the traditional console market BTW) and PC as ever squeezing from the "hardcore" more expensive side. This leaves consoles in the awkward middle with nowhere to go.
This is why you're seeing a resurgence in PC gaming now (at least those of us with PCs are) and a relative stagnation in the console market. The burn hasn't really hit the console market too bad yet, but give it a year or two. Every time you see some company port their game to Android or IPhone, you should be worried. That's your market being eroded in front of your eyes. |

What we have in dust514: 1. total broken balance 2. broken netcode 3. blind devs, who dont see 1 and 2 at all What you will have in Legion? 1. same devs In total: lets talk about macroeconomic? p.s. as you can see, all 1,2 and 3 dont depend by platform at all.
First, let me apologize for the spelling comment. I see you've posted that English isn't your native language. I'd like to say that you're doing better than I would in an alternate language.
Now, your logic though, has a long way to go.
As far as your points, only number 2 means anything. Not only that, but number 2 is, absolutely, platform dependent. So, yeah, I think that they can do better on PC than on the outdated PS3. Whether they actually do or not? Well, we'll just have to wait and see.

That's your market being eroded in front of your eyes. ps3 and x360 it is 140 millions units. ps4 will more popular than ps3 Its fact - gaming companies have aim to consoles and PC is second target. Even Blizzard made console version of Diablo. Battlefield 3 - consoles players (ps3+x360) was twice more than PC battlefield 4 - almost x4 more players on consoles, just see current online players on http://bf4stats.com/Current online of bf4: PC - 28,860 PS3 - 31,544 360 - 24,568 xbone - 21,671 ps4 - 43,685 So yes, PC gaming has big problems now.
Total PCs in the world? http://www.gartner.com/newsroom/id/703807 Something northward of a billion, maybe as much as two billion. Granted, they aren't all gamer PCs. In fact most aren't.
Some player number stats for you: current - peak (24hr) - game 489,703796,689 Dota 2 122,284160,519 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 62,30468,162 Football Manager 2014 43,95776,604 Team Fortress 2 37,87053,518 Sid Meier's Civilization V 32,29344,902 DARK SOULSGäó II 28,45642,089 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 25,62146,752 Garry's Mod 24,01432,268 Counter-Strike 22,60632,385 DayZ
You kind of have it backward. It is true that since the PS3/XB360 consoles have been the primary target. PC gamers have been getting poorly made console ports since then of major AAA games. Despite this, PC gaming has actually taken off, and didn't die back then as many predicted. Even though consoles were eating the low end out of the PC game market, a few interesting things happened and PC games not only survived, but have recently surpassed console games in terms of money making. So PC gaming is having a resurgence, it is not in decline.
Now, mobile is eating the low end out of consoles. It doesn't matter what kind of games exist in mobile, only how much money there is to be made. When consoles were eating at the PC market, the games were getting dumbed down and some genres almost disappeared entirely. This is exactly what is happening, and will continue to happen to consoles.
The main difference here for consoles, is that console gamers and game making companies can't take the same path out of destruction like PC gamers and companies did. PC games survived initially on boutique gaming and indie gaming, and modding. Now, PC games don't really need too. Unfortunately, console users or game designers can't do the same because of the inherent limitations to consoles. So effectively, consoles are the same kind of devices as mobile devices in their limited sense, but consoles are even more limited. mobile devices, like PCs can do much more than play games, so many, many people have them. Many of these people would rather spend some money on a mobile game then buy a console just to play a game (sound familiar?). Thus, this is likely the last generation of dedicated gaming consoles. In a few years, casual players will all be on tablets/mobile and "hardcore" gamers will be on PC, and consoles will be in steep decline.
Back on topic, this is part of the reason that Legion is now a PC game, and it will likely stay a PC game. By the time CCP gets around to doing a proper port (unless they've got a PS4 port already mostly done) there won't be enough money in consoles to make the port worth it. |

To OP: This is simply not going to be able to happen without leaving PS4 out of a big portion of the game unfortunately. The overall goal of this game is to have cross-game play between Legion, Valkyrie, and EVE: Online. In order for this to happen, there can only be a single instance of any game connected to tranquility.
So if you want PS4 players to be separated from PC players, you are essentially asking for PS4 players to not be connected to tranquility. This will lock PS4 players from specialized game modes such as Planetary Conquest, Low-Sec open world gameplay, Null-Sec sovereignty battles, POS boarding, etc. As those assets are only available when the game can be connected to tranquility.
Sorry OP, what you want is just not going to be able to happen. You will be playing cross-platform.
Keep in mind though, the very nature of the game design will deter cheating quite a bit. No one will risk a perman on a toon they have invested a great amount of time and money into. We just need to find a way such that people can't create a million alts and play public matches with veteran players. Going to have to see what kind of solutions they can come up with to help prevent hacking on both a code and game design level.
As a PS4 player you will have some time before a PS4 client is released. I guess just see how bad it is a few months after the PC release and see what they have done about it.
Well, even Dust is server-side authority. This will combat a certain amount of cheating/hacking. There are, of course, plenty of other methods that work well and are industry standards.
Obviously a subscription cost would go a certain way in preventing the alt-spam, but I doubt that CCP wants to make Legion subscription based.
