All future development for Dust is going to be server side as per Dust 514's executive producer.
This means that they will not be altering the client in any way shape or form. There will never be another update that will require you to download a patch for the PS3. This means that any performance issues, any new weapons/items/anything, not one change will happen to Dust that involves the client. CCP has no plans to submit anything to Sony for approval.

So if you are truly pissed with CCP delete dust from your PS3. Then if you are in legion uninstall it from your computer. Stop DONATING your time and effort on their products. Never forget the information that CCP gathers from gameplay and bug reports is actually valuable. Its very easy to deny them this information and honestly when it comes to the PC market they have very heavy competition (Titanfall FTW i love this game myself especially with all the parkour )

and anybody was under the impression that after the nail in the coffin at fanfest that there WOULD be updates? If so then they are stupid but thank you for putting it into black-and-white although it's a depressing read

He stated that all of the planned updates are server-side only. This isn't quite the same as a statement that no future updates will involve client changes. If they decided today to do a client-side update, maybe triggered by feedback from this community, his original statement would still have been correct.
That said, I think your interpretation is the most likely one: CCP will avoid submitting any more client-side updates to Sony if at all possible.

+1 Yep.
Dust is DEAD!!
But games that are ALIVE are soon to be July Destiny Beta, end of June Planetside 2 Sony will have news about them at E3 in a few days.
Right now my gameing time is mostly FFX HD, Infamous SS and trying to get keys to the server stress test for Destiny and probably Planetside 2.
So why am I takeing three minutes to post on DEAD! Dust forum? Its fun to needle the CCP fanboys that are in denial about Dust being DEAD.
I.e. my text sig got deleted since a CCP CPM went running about it to Mommy CCP..lol!!
Another month and I want to see some Dust is Dying forum threads due to lower player counts.

Obvious quite a few people still think that there will be a 1.9 or a 2.0, as seen by these post popping up every single day. I am doing the community a service by answering a recurring question for those that are unsure, and those that may have missed one post from the EP buried in the forums.

Here is the thing.... does it involve functionality that is not currently present AND enabled on the PS3 client? Then it requires an actual patch through Sony.
Is there TRADING functionality in your client as it is right now? (no there isn't)
I phrase it this way so that you can actually address any future questions you have with a simple mental test.

I was just looking for a simple yes or no, there was no reason to be rude. I have no programming skills whatsoever and to me something like player item trading is very similar to isk trading. For example x= isk, y = thale sniper rifle, z = some arbitrary number.
player a trades z number of x to player b. you replace x with y. there, you've just traded a thale sniper rifle. And all I was asking was whether something simple (which appears simple to me, I could be wrong, it may require hundreds of lines of coding) was possible with a server update, like a hotfix.
There are people who know these things, and the rest of us just want some clarity without having to be treated like we are lacking in the ability to perform such a "simple" mental test.

There is no set of windows or selections in the client that currently support this functionality. The very closest thing to it is the "give isk" thing you can pull up when selecting another character.
The reason I phrased it in that way is so that now you can easily do that mental task if you have another question like that.
Sorry if I came off as rude.

But I understand the frustration that players have felt over CCP's sudden treatment of Dust 514 and its player base. Even now I'm torn between just leaving to play other games or sticking around until the servers close. There's no right answer with CCP anymore.

Honestly, if you are still having fun, if fanfest and Mr. Frenchie didn't make you completely disillusioned, if they didn't rip every single bit of meaning from your time-investment and your future play-time, then you should keep playing, just DO NOT invest anymore money in this game. IWS offers his own opinions which aren't swayed by the popular opinion of the forums. I can respect that. I can also respect that he has an objective view of things when responding to people's post.
The hive mind mentality runs rampant here. It's refreshing when someone can have their own opinions that isn't full of immature rebuttals.
People that are for Legion understand that the PS3 cannot go further. That if you want the best CCP can offer, then PC is a platform that is better suited to their needs to help bring the vision of Dust, in its entirety, into fruition
Funny that you call me a stalker when you're the main one who visit any thread and you spew your bile all over them, looking to crush their dreams as you felt that your dreams were crushed. It is so bad that a simple question from Lucrezia generated a bad response from you.

See, no matter how many times you lie, it doesn't make it true, you aren't a republican politician.
No, Dust was canceled 7 months ago before they ran a whole bunch of promotions to buy stuff for the games future.
There is this completely seperate game for the PC that might get made. You might be able to transfer some of your progress IF it is applicable to the NEW AND TOTALLY DIFFERENT systems in-place in the vaporware known as legion.
