Something I felt Dust was always missing was a variety of player orientation. Most other FPS games have some type of system in place to make the game feel unique, such as going prone, sliding, vaulting, or even rolling (now seemingly long forgotten). In Dust, the only two ways I can orient myself is either standing or crouching. I'm not saying every conceivable movement possibility should be implemented into Legion, but I'd like to see some more ways I could make my character dance on the battlefield.
P.S. If fitting, a roll mechanic would be much appreciated; I always enjoyed the ability in Star Wars: Battlefront II.
I was going to use that Installation...

Way back there was talk of CCP adding vaulting and also sliding in Dust. Hopefully that makes it into Legion.

Rolling is generally bad, and is even worse with the weight of dropsuits.
It exists only for theatrics. |

IMHO, getting rid of bunny hopping, left-right strafing while shooting, negotiating obstacles super-mario style and similar ridiculous routines, would help immersion more than any newly announced shiny visual feature such as reflections, tesselation and such...

Absolutely +1
A scout may be able to just jump over a fence, an assault might have to vault, where a heavy would clamber over. Not too difficult to incorporate I'd think?
Sliding would be good but I've just got in my head a picture of a battlefield with mercs just sliding all around the place. It'd look quite silly haha.

Yeah not sure about sliding and rolling, but certainly you could add to the experience by recognising the differences in mobility between different suits and how skills and modules can affect those things.
Certainly any suit should be able to get over a six inch high railing though!!
