Serious question. How?
There are few things more comfortable than gaming with a controller; I can do it while sitting, lying down, walking on my treadmill, etc. How do you PC gamers relax while you're gaming on a keyboard and mouse, especially when it's an FPS. |

The accuracy of a KBM is just incredible compared to a controller. My friend plays on PC exclusively. The guy makes shots that I know I couldn't possibly make with a controller. He keeps urging me to play with the KBM for a full experience of FPS. He says I'm cutting myself short by playing with a controller.
I know one thing, on a controller, I'm the worst sniper in the world. But with a KBM, my accuracy increases by 90 percent.
Also, how does one relax while playing FPS? I see some can do it, but I just can't sit back and chill on the couch. I'm usually close to the screen with my shades on.

I personally find 'couch gaming' very uncomfortable. It's just personal preference I guess. I spent a bit time getting set up so I could hook up my ps3 to my second monitor and my PC and run a kbm emulator. I played dust like a really poor PC shooter because I find mkb to be far more comfortable than trying to fumble with joysticks... |

I also dislike the feel of gaming on a couch. I'd take a firm yet comfortable chair over a couch any day.

Well i guess if you got a good set of wireless KBM you could setup a surface in the couch. But Dust wasnt that good to make me buy the expensive gear without the certainty it would work (some stuff work, some dosent).
Now I am glad, if it come to the PC, I will put my corded controls to good use on my PC. |

Too much comfort actually slows down your reaction timing and focus. You will most likely never be able to reach your full potential in an entirely relaxed position.
I have a desk with a TV on it that I use for my consoles + PC. I sit in a tall, padded office chair with a smaller chair I use as a footrest when I am in need of relaxation. |

Probably yes. I've recently tried PS2 with both DS3 and kb/m. Kb/m is far better than controller on PC.

I'm usually leaning back or slouching, at times laying down. I only use kbm in DUST to forge or snipe. I only sit up if it's a good fight.

If you like PVP... you must use Aimbots/Macros will make your life a lot easier and in some cases it would be best to acquire a gaming keyboard (hardware macros are beast).
If you are doing PvE...you obviously want to grind and you should bot your way to the top.
In both cases Packet Editing is a hawt.

Feet up cup of tea one hand mouse in other. Not for fps but for eve or slow strategy game. Fps is better on console cause everyone has same gear. |

You don't. That's part of the reason people are a bit down on the whole move to PC thing I guess. It's one thing to have dual support (such as it was) for both controllers, mice/kb, and... uh.. Move. It's another to move to PC. Even if Legion has native controller support, you can expect that it will be inferior to kb/m.
Dust is shifting from a game that you could play while lounging/relaxing on the couch to a game that will require a kb/m to be competitive. Technically you can use a lapdesk and the like from your couch. However, if you want to have a your leg slung over the side of your couch as you're splayed across the cushions, sometimes one-handing your controller as you eat a sandwich between loading screens -- that lifestyle is mostly lost to legitimate players.
As others have already noted, macros and bots are rampant in many PC arenas though, so perhaps you'll be able to kill everyone without even touching a button. Brave new world and all that...

When I used the Kb/M on Dust I set up a lounge chair to sit in with another chair next to it and an old VCR on top of it for a nice flat surface for the mouse; it was pretty comfortable.
Can't say I'm all that surprised.

i just have my wireless kb/m in my lap, its not hard. (i use a drawing pad with a nice enough cover to act as my mouse mat)

You could Jerry rig a camping chair or Mabye a hospital bed with that slide out tray that you can adjust up and down. I'm sure you could find a slightly used hospital bed on Craigslist I bet they are just giving those things away.

I have a recliner that has an attachable/adjustable laptop shelf. I use that for my mouse.
I keep my keboard on my lap.
Works like a champ, except MKB sucks on Dust. Like being stuck in maple syrup. It's nice for forge gunning and sniping -- two roles I don't play. Just try being a logi with four pieces of equipment -- lol. |
