Sooooo.....
How about that? How about everything we have ever been through as players, as squads, as teams, as corporations, and even as alliances?
We all have a common purpose, but our personalities segregate the good, the bad and the ugly. Terms we have all been too familiar with. To get praised one week and turn around be hated the next. It is all a common path we force ourselves to witness.
For me; it has been 2 years of investment into this game. I will not sit here and say I regret it, cause I have no regrets about anything. Everything I have been apart of is a big trial and error process. Another term I find fitting for a lot of players.
I do remember the very first game I ever played in this game on Skim Junction. I went 2 and 12. Boy was I a Pro or what? Although I went super negative, I have never enjoyed a FPS as much as Dust. To that began the journey for me; from a friend saying hey man, have you heard of Dust - we split the beta key at $10 each and were on our way.
From finding my first corporation in Universal Royal Allies to transitioning to Seraphim Initiative. to take on the Imperfects in the closed beta tournament. To now being the CEO of a corporation that has both hurt and cured community interests. It is still a pathway I have found myself in, that I hope more players get to experience in their Dust careers. From betrayal, to lies, to internal fights, to removing players in your corporation - was it worth it all? I would happily admit to saying, yes.
Just because we experience stress in our day to day mission as a mercenary, stress is never a reason to fall off the deep end completely. Again, it is all a trial and error process.
My dust career has come to a halt. I will no longer be the CEO of Ancient Exiles. as you know it today. No one person has been proclaimed the new CEO, as it is still a work in progress. But before leaving for good, I did want to say thank you to everyone who has ever spent countless hours with me playing diplomat, to every mercenary that has shed their blood on our side. Although Ancient Exiles. has a record of both a honor list, we have a list of spite also. Nobody on Planet Earth is perfect, unless you lie to your girlfriend and tell them otherwise for those of you who are still in your high school days.
I have said it in numerous threads, and I will say it again. I could not ask for a better way to relieve myself of Dust. The move is unofficially temporary unless I have reason to make it permanent. Many players are leaving with the exact same notion as I am.
With that said, again, I appreciate all the smack talking, all the hate, all the love and all the hysteria this game has caused in my life and in the communities life. Best of luck to everyone. Please add me on Skype; ElectricBodily. Would love to see you all around again in the future.
