Okay, let's say for all practical purposes you are 100% accurate and Legion is Dust 2.0. So what? I have a great gaming PC and will never install a CCP game on it. Why would I trust them after how they treated us?
The bugs in Dust are Legion so if you are correct then they are basing this new project on some very buggy code. But who cares beyond EVE players? Nobody I know. Seriously, not one single Dust only player I know cares about Legion. They cared strongly about Dust and now they feel strongly about CCP. Although not in a good way.
My few EVE friends have not changed their minds about EVE and no doubt will be involved in Legion. A couple are upset because they only bought a PS3 to play Dust. Now isn't that ironic, don't ya think?
If they would call it a FPR they might sell it: Legion First Person Randomizer - you feel lucky punk? Your gun might fire - or it might not.
Do they want to turn some of us around? I doubt it but if they did they could start fixing bugs in Dust now. Bugs that will negatively effect Legion if it truly is based on Dust, replacement or not.
I will wait right over here. But I won't be holding my breath. Just so you know.

Legion will be a multiplayer sort of RPG style FPS set on the planets in new eden with skills, vehicles, corps and futuristic armour and a lot more stuff too. However it will be under a new (imo better) name, with fancier graphics but on a different platform.
Okay, I cut this down to your two descriptions of the games. All of these games have vehicles and futuristic armor (although Dust has ancient junk assault rifles with iron sights). Corps, I couldn't care less. I hate taxes.
However, the journalists that were shown the demo clearly stated there was no skill system in Legion. Getting better was entirely focused on salvaging better gear. No leveling at all and no SP system.
I am unable to resolve the vast difference between your description and what CCP demonstrated to journalists. Maybe you can, Jenza.

Then they did a lousy job of showing off their pretty game didn't they? Because the press was decidedly unimpressed with the UI, the total lack of action and noted that nobody was working together nor even was around another player. Sort of like EVE is for the vast majority.
And we Dust players know what it means when things are close but not exact in the skill system. We get shafted and SP is never refunded even when it gets changed out from underneath a player, all players.
An untrustworthy company with a mediocre game uses that as a basis for a bad demo that will take years to turn into any kind of game at all. Yep, looks like a CCP project. Maybe it will be as successful as World Of Darkness.
Either way it doesn't matter to me. I wish they would move all these useless Legion posts to a Legion-only forum. Just look at how active this community isn't now that the knife was stuck in their back. Of course it would help if a bug or 10 were to get fixed. Hah.

And more than likely, only expansions will come to it. Franchises primarily exist on consoles. The guns would have to actually work to be any kind of shooter at all.

Dexter Peabody wrote:The messaging was awful, but at this point the people still mad are angry for the sake of being angry. Dust never had a chance on the PS3, and if Legion is even half of what they envisioned for Dust it'll do well. CCP are absolutely making the right move, and it's kinda funny that people are going ape when CCP are doing exactly what the community asked them to do. The EVE community asked them to. Not Dust and not the PS3 community. At least put the correct information out if you are playing CCP fan boy.
