I mean the average person has at least two accounts logged in at any given time, so you can cut the "actual" number in half if not less right?
Meaning TQ would drop down to about 10k people at night?
Meaning Dust, this failure of a game, was already at 1/5th the size of EvE at the very least?
Also meaning that Dust is more popular than Eve was the first 1-2 years....
GG CCP.
Not really.
Most players will have 1 account, some will have 2. Less will have 3. Fewer will have 4. And so on.
Its most likelly a Curve really. |

Two subscriptions lasting for 6 months would bring in anywhere from $143.40 to $239.40 depending on the method of payment. The former would be by paying a standard subscription in 6-month intervals, the latter would be by using PLEX exclusively and not buying it in bulk (probably by buying it from other people who wanted to make some quick ISK). So, no. There's not a significant difference between the two sums. So,, you are just going to be a prick and make me break down every god-damn thing I say while you just throw out bull-**** eh? How about this.. I could get 12 months worth of eve for 131 dollars... or hell, with the power of two I could get 6 months of game time for the equivalent of $50, meaning my total for two accounts would be $115, so how about you just do everyone a favor and STFU. Yep, pretty big differences there dummy. While it is true than paying in 12-month intervals is cheaper than paying in 6-month intervals, you had stated that you had spent $200 dollars in a 6-month period, not a 12-month period, so I didn't think it was a good comparison. Subscription-based games generally have a pretty stable income from each consumer, but F2P games are quite a bit more erratic. For all I know you might have spent $200 in a 6-month period while the next and/or previous 6-month period you only spent a quarter as much as that. As for the power of two, that only works once per account, and only for a new account, so it's pretty situational. I'm not saying you couldn't play 12 months worth for significantly less than $200 dollars, I'm just saying that a meaningful number of players could have easily not done so. Your statement, after all, was "which is WAY more than CCP would get from 2 accounts in Eve of that time period" and not "which is a lot more than the minimum of what two accounts in EVE would have to pay".
Well, even if it dosent make sense, my main EVE character, who I play for years, is on a 3 month plan, not 12 month plan. My second account was on a 3 months plan, I almost canceled it but ended up renewing for 1 month plans.
Though it would be economically more suitable to just sub them for max periods, I really dont feel like paying that much money all in just 1 time, and prefer smaller recurrent payments for now.
