I have Caldari Assault 4 so it is obviously cheaper for me in the SP department to go Caldari Logi but I hate the fact I would only have two slots at basic level. I have a Dren Minmatar Logistics and even a Sever Minmatar Logistics so going Minmatar would mean I could save on suits. Amarr is probably the best though with their incredibly good bonus for Spawn Pads though, right?
Just looking for some advice: Caldari? Use my Dren and forget about the bonuses? Amarr? I just don't want to go Gallente.
This is just for basic play when I want to have an easier game just repairing people and providing support rather than really important stuff like PC or organized FW. How about some advice on what equipment to level? I have not done any kind of Logistics work in over a year when my Sever suit was just a 1 point dump to throw down a bunch of militia equipment.
Thanks.

Use your Dren for basic logistics but your going to want the Caldari for ADV and Proto is the best rout if your looking to save SP.

Matari & Amarr Logis are the most important ones in PC, though the Amarr one will always be needed while the Matari Logi is only needed if one of your slayers are in a Sentinel frame.

What kind of equipment would you suggest as "level these one?" Obviously it isn't meant for anything too important, just when I don't feel like driving around in my tank.

Hmm I'm a logi medic so I run Nanohives, Ninite injector, and a repair tool
However if you want to try a more rounded fitting I'd go Nanohives, Drop uplink, and a repair tool.
There is also the demolitions fit with Nanohives, and STD+ADV Remote explosives/ proxy mines
If you go Caldari you always want to have nanohives on to get the best out of your bonus. However Logistics is really all about what you want to run honestly

I run rep nanohives (proto), a rep tool (proto), a nanite injector (proto), and a spawn uplink (advanced) on my minmatar proto logi.

Youre going Caldari so stick to hives. Set up repping hives behind cover and ammo hives by choke points. Play to your strengths, your suit wont be one you want to keep wearing though. Logi is by no means a cheap way to play.

Than correct answer is always Amarr.
I will give you an actual reason, though: With the Amarr logi bonus at level 5, a MLT drop uplink has the same spawn time as a proto flux uplink on any other suit.
(I'd link my drop uplink guide if I hadn't deleted it)

This is the truth of it. For a Logi the only suit you are always going to run is Amarr for the link bonus. You will run Min for the reps but the suit dies so easily it is unprofitable. Gallentes bonus is stupid, scanners can't pick up scouts. Either the scanner is aimed in the wrong direction, or it doesn't have the rating to match the scout. Your better running a heavy suit in an LAV.
Cal is a good suit, but the bonuses are unsuitable to the battlefield nowadays. Specifically that TTK (I know Ive offended everyone but AR users and Snipers) doesn't allow you to live past being shot, the damage you'll be repping with hives is incidental to not being aimed at. New users won't understand what Im talking about but vets will remember when your tank actually mattered. Thats when repping hives were useful. Same goes for ammo. People who live long enough to need ammo will get it at the supply depot.
TL;DR -Caldari bonus has lowest ROI, and is unsuitable for such a low TTK game. Run Amarr or Min.

For now I am just going to use my Dren Logistics with advanced repair hive, advanced drop uplinks, and basic repair tool. I might upgrade the repair tool later though. It was a SP investment of only a couple 100k and the equipment will be useful regardless.
I think I might go Amarr just for the ridiculously strong power though the 1 less equipment slot at basic has be hesitant just like Caldari. A toss up between Amarr for power or Caldari for convenience.
Thanks for all the helpful advice! ^_^

I run Mini-Logi. Have since day one. Full proto on nanos, reps, hives, and scans. Even with that, my preference is to run the Dren suit with all BPO's. Being Mini, I get the extended rep range which is great, and can usually go positive KDR when with a squad.

Thanks.
I use A-Logi for two reasons. The uplink bonus (although it is highly underpowered given if you change suits or die the bonus is retracted) and the second reason is the side arm. It also has a splash more Armor and, correct if I am wrong, has quite a bit CPU/PG compared to other suits. I run everything proto and still have about 20pg left on the suit. I even use a Complex KinKat which is very intensive.
I really get a lot out of the A-Logi. I can save a module for HP due to the splash more built in armor. And with the side arm I can be more well rounded in 1 on 1's or as some kind of fire fight support.
I have no experience with C-Logi so I can't really help you there. But the HP cut and the lack of a side arm keeps me from being interested in it.
EDIT:
I started popping on 3 complex Precision enhancers instead of Damage mods or shields. While repping a heavy on your squad they will take out anything and see it all.

I play D3, Child of Light, and solo games

Amarr logi has always been gimped in terms of fitting power, especially PG. Old school logis will remember a time when the Amarr logi had so little PG it was totally broken!
It also has less armor tanking potential than the gallente because of the slot count, the difference in base armor is insufficient.
Solid suit but is only great now due to the bonus changes with 1.8, previously the gal logi was clearly superior minus the sidearm.
Personally, i put one shield mod, one damage mod, and one precision enhancer in the highs (sufficient for me since my core electronics skills were all maxed). Exception is my chubby chaser suit, I got rid of the damage mod and put in another shield extender for durability.

Hmmm ... This sounds like some of the reasons that I didn't skill back into Caldari Logi after 1.8 .
