I am going to do a little comparison between two communities that i have been in. First let me start off with this community that we are in eve online/ dust 514. In terms of the interactions between these 2 games is nothing but an ongoing war, One side we have the elitist pigs that think they are superior because of the technology they have and because of this they do nothing but bash on the people that do not have their technology. On the other side we have console players which can vary from good to bad to worse to awful to extremely awful. Now each of these games have their own forums where people like be jerks to other people in the same game so basically its the normal kind of community. Each of these games do have some people that are not jerks and people that are willing to help others.
Moving on to game number 2 FFXIV now this game has 3 communities in it the PS4 , PS3, and PC which are all bound together in both the game and the forums. Now when i was playing ffxiv i noticed some elitism on the forums now of course there is not as much elitism on there as there is on here but anyway; in the game i rarely saw any elitism (at least on my server Goblin but i heard similar things about other server). People didn't discriminate anyone because of hardware differences. The Overall ffxiv community was friendly, helpful , and good.
I could throw in the dc universe online community but nah that community is filled to the brim with assholes.

Perfect example of what i just mentioned above. This person obviously did not read the part i wrote about the console community. He just read the pc elitist part got mad, thinks im blaming someone which im not, and replied calling console people dumb asses.

Oh, I read the part where you said that the console people varied from good to terrible, but the PC people were all elitist.
I realized i made that mistake when i first typed it but i added something to it.
