Just slipping in my suggestion that weapons be named correctly in Legion, for example: Assault Rifle - Plasma Rifle and something more creative for the Combat Rifle. I really want to get over the bad PR stunt and this would help me ease into Legion.

I hope they rethink the "Scrambler" weapon names. Pulse makes far more sense considering how they function and what their EVE counterparts are called.

Can we all agree that 'scrambler pistol' does not invoke fear in anyone. I've heard of nerf guns with more intimidating names.

plasma rifle is Games workshop copyright, same with the bolt pistol. its a space marine weapon.

Copyright extends to advertising only, really. For example, DC can't call a Captain Marvel book Captain Marvel, because Marvel is a copyright of Marvel. Hence, they call it Shazam!. If it were true the way you imply, then no one could even say the words "plasma rifle" without being in violation.
That said, the term plasma rifle is used in plenty of sources outside of Games Workshop. Star Trek, for example, is the first and easiest one I can think of. |

Agreed, unless it has a 400% headshot multiplier for 'scrambling brains' or whatever the ScP does now, then the weapon should be called a Pulse Laser Rifle. With the current Laser Rifle being the Beam Laser Rifle. |

Cartridge Rifle... I mean, if we're going to call them things like "Plasma, Rail, Laser, Scrambler" etc, might as well call it like it is. Even though Plasma weaponry still use casings and a "projectile" if you want to get technical...

While you're at it, can you swap the heat mechanics/headshot multiplier from the Ion/Scrambler Pistol? A heating, charged weapon fits much more thematically with Amarr than it does Gallente.
As far as the CR is concerned, isn't that it's name? The AR is crying out for a name change because all rifles are assault rifles.

About the scrambler rifle - It isn't a laser weapon. It fires a laser induced plasma channel. What else is described as a plasma channel? Lightning. It's a f**king lighting gun.
Repeat - It shoots LIGHTNING BOLTS. That's way cooler than being a "pulse laser rifle" . MAke it shoot lightning and call it a Lightning Rifle. Though I have grown rather fond of the name Scrambler. Everything with the name Scrambler should have a headshot bonus, though.
Another plus of making the Scrambler weapons fire holy bolts of the wrath from the gods is that there could be a pulse variant of the LR with higher damage with shorter ranges.
The CR is hard to name. Being accurate gives us boring names. We could call it the Autorifle, but that might step on the toes of naming something the Autocannon. If the lore of the gun is switched up a bit it could be called the Flechette Rifle.
I do think the Rail Rifle's name might need to be changed too. I like the sound of Gauss rifle, and call the Sniper rifle a rail cannon or something along those lines. Sniper rifle is a boring name.
