It's not enough to make me return to this game, you have basically set an experation date on it and nobody wants to think that their favorite game is going to end soon. even though it is inevitable imagine if world of warcraft announced in 1 year or a different set amount of time they would cease hosting the servers. people would stop playing and find something else to spend their time on because there is no point anymore.
So thanks, i redeemed the pack(because free) stared at the screen for a bit, then shut off the ps3 again.
It's too little too late.

EDIT: For the people whohave jobs and missed the discovery earlier today, this is how you get your free pack.
I've been told it only works for U.S..but you are free to try.
access psn store from your ps3(must be ps3) go and find dust 514, then the tactical pack. where there usually is the add to cart 9.99 option. if you click it it will pull up a option to select the free version or the 9.00 usd one. pick the free one and then purchase.
It might work on the other servers. You just need to go to the PSN store directly from outside of the game, not from within the game market.

With more aurum and all vets get a adv bpo for dust only.

Ccp needs to add a send gear option
Like sending isk but you either click on the gear then send or a selection screen, pretty easy to code.
I'd better leave...
