Supposedly because of security and other reasons which I can understand to some degree. However REALLY - in this day and age we cant have gifs or something nice and pretty to look at without them causing possible issues? That just seems sad.

I liked some of them, but some of them were a bit much. I dont need a strobe light in my face while reading the forums.
However, If I could just turn them off for myself in the forum settings, then I would have no problem with it. I wish CCP would negotiate and compromise instead of always taking these unilateral decisions. |

My current PC (That I'm replacing ASAP) has serious overheating issues that make even watching videos on youtube problematic, because it throttles my CPU.
And yet I see ZERO performance difference between before gifs and after.
If my computer doesn't behave funny with gifs, anything from the past 8~ years shouldn't.
