Because when was the last time a quality product came out of China? China is known for producing the absolute cheapest, cut-rate, bordering safe, possibly toxic, artificially cheap products on the planet. In short, Bungie was on top with Myth II on the PC. Myth III was expected to be even better. Halo was their next big thing. Bungie, along with Blizzard, was a big Mac supporter since they were doing PC games just as that was becoming a big deal and Microsoft and the PC clones hadn't taken off yet. So, Halo was getting heavily promoted for the Mac and Myth III had a big player base. Then the bottom fell out. Bungie sold its soul to Microsoft for funding to do Halo. Microsoft wanted Halo to be their premier title on their new console, the Xbox. PC/Mac development was dropped. Also, they dropped support and development for Myth II. Myth II was sold to Take Two Interactive which pretty much just hastily finished it off and through it out there with bugs galore. Also, the biggest thing about Myth was that you could mod it and create maps and upload and distribute them. Myth III was 3d based and so even that was gone. Bungie is the reason why Blizzard and WoW became number one on the PC. Let's just say that NO, I would not support or expect any guarantees for Bungie products long term. They lost my support 14 years ago. THIS IS THE VOICE OF RÁN

They won't make their money back in sales on the first game. But with DLC and sequels they'll spend less on marketing because it'll be an established franchise. I'm no fan of Activision, but I do think it its pretty smart. Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

Meaning if a new Sony console or Microsoft console comes. They will be prepared. Now my only concern with Destiny is the Publisher Activision, I expect content to be with held. Along with a ton of micro transactions. In short my expectations are very low for Destiny.

She was also happy when I told her I might have to cancel all of my CCP accounts (60$ a month on average). She was then disappointed when CCP officially pledged to transfer our characters when they changed platforms...because I'm still in favor of supporting CCP, and they deliver just enough that I can hold on to the hope that we'll see something amazing in the next few years.
