Oblivion/Skyrim (immersive Fantasy RPGs)
Fallout 3/NV (post-nuclear survival RPGs) =ƒÆûFallout:New Vegas=ƒÆû>Fallout 3
Terraria (open world exploring platformer with mining. It has a bit of everything...)
Farcry 2/3 (adventure/action FPSs with great map editors)
Mass Effect 1 and 2, not 3 (deep and engaging RPGs focused on the characters of the story. Ignore ME3...)

I don't understand whats so bad about ME 3 that made people go on internet riots against EA. The ending was... sour. I honestly reccomend playing the game until the last Admiral Anderson scene, then quitting the game, and breaking the disk. |

I don't understand whats so bad about ME 3 that made people go on internet riots against EA. The ending was... sour. I honestly reccomend playing the game until the last Admiral Anderson scene, then quitting the game, and breaking the disk. that's a really stupid reason, if the gameplay and mechanics are working then its fine. at least with dust we have thousands of reasons why we hate it. The gameplay and mechanics of ME1 were better... It was a far better RPG than its followers. Exploring the Galaxy was amazeballs. ME2 was a bit more combat focused and a bit more restrictive, but it was still openworld and exploration was still a thing. ME3 played like Gears of War. Linear, cover based shooter. Exploration was pointless, as there was nothing to find.
The ending of ME3 was riddled with plotholes, was unsatisfying, and reeked of copy n paste. Apparently, the EP of the game decided to write it himself and didn't let the rest of the design team have a say on it. |
