CCP hasnt yet stated that everything will be transferred, they are being very vague about the whole issue, which indeed probably means that they wont give us close to what we want. As Ariana mentioned though that EVE players are discussing this on their own forums. Complaining that there will be too much of a gap, but they have also realized that its the same for anyone starting out in EVE. Having to compete with 10 year vets. Tell the EVE players to suck a Big one, they shat on Dust the moment CCP announced it and laugh at anybody who dare say liked the game. Otherwise there will be no sandbox, only instanced PvE and level matched non-consequentail PvP. the point isn't that age won't matter, the point is that you should not be required to participate in the same game modes with them 24/7. you are not thrown into null sec upon creating your character in eve, yet you are in dust514, this is why proto stomping occurs, in legion they will be or at least should be separated and given their own experiences and ways to succeed. you will have game modes where you can participate and contribute at any age of your character in eve, and likewise that should be in legion. i'm unsure of what you expect of the legion sandbox but players currently have been playing dust for 2 years, it was chromosome, and then it was uprising, and soon it will be legion. nothing really differs aside from the platform it will be presented to us on, just another major update really. I am not sure what planet you are living on, but here in reality CCP has said things like: "Dust and Legion are seperate games" "Maybe transfer some of your skills and equipment if they applicable" <--- they won't be, why do you think all the ifs are there? "If legion becomes an actual game, we will transfer some stuff" <- once again this allows a lot of wiggle room. I just don't understand why anyone would believe such indefinite statements from a company that has been misleading it's playerbase for 7 months, even profiting from them off of false pretenses. Also, up the match count to 32v32 (cause its #PCMasterRace now and we actually have the resources for that) and 1-2 Dust bittervets with some special looking gear won't make much of a difference. So MAG, a game 3 years older than dust, could do 256 vs 256 with larger maps and trees and stuff, but CCP could only do 16 vs 16 on PS3... that isn't an issue of power, it is an issue of horrible coding. Also, you can not have any consequential PVP and tiered matches at the same time. Either you have tiered matches and they mean nothing, or you have sandbox mode and everyone fights everyone regardless of sp (like eve). MAG had a custom built engine to handle that. I played a lot of MAG back in the day, Zipper did an incredible job with it. MAG died though... for a reason. A lot of it had to do with a lack of content. They had to cheat a lot to get those maps to handle so many players and couldn't build more of them very easily. No matter what you wanna say, this isn't Zipper. They can't make more than 32 player matches work on the PS3.. no matter who actually did or could. High sec meta restricted matches and low sec unrestricted matches. Its easy and it makes sense. Gets newbies into the game easily and then gives them a reason to keep grinding. Gullible? Sure... if it makes you feel better. I'm happily drinking the CCP Koolaid and its mighty tasty. Source for one freaking thing you said please? Can you back up even one single thing you said about MAG? Admit it, you made all of that up didn't you? At first I thought letting us keep our ISK would just be stupid, but then I realized they want to open up the economies with each other, so our ISK is like....a drop in the bucket if they do that lol. So lets say they allow Dust to continue for 1-2 years in the state that it is in... this means that Kane Saprro (SP?) could potentially have 1-2 trillion isk. First you speak of me having no evidence to back up that CCP wants to start fresh... this by itself is completely mind-blowing. Then you go to state since people in Eve start 10 years behind right now, that there should be no difference for people in Legion to start 2-3 years behind. To that I say LOL. Go visit the eve forums, CCP is obviously pandering to their EvE crowd, not the console crowd, what does the Eve crowd say about full character transfers? Beyond even that, if Full character transfer were even on the table, wouldn't CCP say as much? Why would they use such uncertain and obfuscated language? This is EXACTLY the type of language you use as to NOT make a promise while leading people on. Something that CCP has a history of doing. No, you have ABSOLUTELY no evidence that anything other than your character name/picture will transfer over. CCP has not said that ANYTHING else will transfer over. They have said that *MAYBE SOME* stuff will transfer over IF applicable. That is about as far away from confirmation as you can get short of saying nothing at all. If you can not see that you have a lot to learn about this world. TLDR: There is zero reason to think they will let you have a 1-2-3 year head start on everyone else in their brand new game.
