Suppose somebody swindles you out of your money with bogus promises on a 2nd hand car. Would everything be forgiven after they admit their 'mistake'? Of course not, you still want your money back and an apology!

So you're saying that because you can argue that Street Fighter 4 is still Street Fighter 4 when the devs admit Ultra is basically an expansion and not a new game, the same is true for DUST and Legion, where not only are the two games not available in the same format like SF4 and SF4U, but they're explicitly given different names and stated by the devs to not be the same game, and to incorporate very different core mechanics? Exactly my point. So does it make it another game? I really don't have an answer for that. But I see his point has for why he thinks its different game. Edit: just to clarify, these are my supporting arguments for Adam of Eve's arguments. So basically I can understand why people would say its two different games. Whether it's the same game or not is a moot point. It's on another platform! Suppose you buy a game for your PS3 and the seller ships you a copy for PC, stating: "Sorry, no refunds, because it's the same game."? |

Suppose you buy a game for your PS3 and the seller ships you a copy for PC, stating: "Sorry, no refunds, because it's the same game."? Err... I'm pretty sure a PS4 is a different platform than a PS3. You still need to buy a new machine. Also, your example is flawed. You forgot to mention that your hypothetical seller already shipped you a PS3 copy a year ago. Players are used to upgrading their system as time progresses. Everybody understands that the PS3 won't live forever and won't last during another 10 years of development. These players don't mind switching to a PS4 in due time. Switching to different system is something different. Other players, other controls, new and different hardware, compatibility with their TV, etc.. It's not a logical step to expect.
As for your comment that they already shipped a PS3 copy - how does that align with CCP's laser-focused 10-year development plan? And the pilot suit?
