I'll just leave this here

What happened to the Vita App and the Player Maket? The Dust website clearly states Dust 514 will have both.
Quote: DUST 514 brings a vibrant economy to the world of console shooters, featuring a player-driven online market
In addition, DUST 514 will feature a PlayStation-«Vita companion app that directly interacts with the game world
How about 24v24 battles? Your FAQ states we'll have those as well.
Quote: DUST 514 can support 24v24 matches in a single battle in a single district on a single planet, and there can be multiple battles on a planet happening simultaneously, impacting each other in real time. The scale of DUST 514 is unprecedented.
Oh, and how about shooting down space ships?
Quote: DUST 514 players will be able to use weapons from the ground to deal damage to spacecraft above.
Oh, and here's one of my favorite quotes from a dev log:
Quote: The merging of EVE and DUST provides opportunities for socialization far beyond what most MMOs are able to offer simply by virtue of the fact that New Eden will soon be populated by players with vastly different roles, but similar agendas. And, we believe, the universe will be better for it. Because, for better or worse, every minute spent in the EVE setting should mean something.
What happened to that?

Let be honest. It's CCP that wasn't upto the task. The PC is easier for them, the PS3 was too much of a challenge for them to develop on. It's not that the hardware couldn't handle it. Let's get real, who needs a 5x5Km map when you can never use more than 1x1km? It was tons of vision, with horrendous implementation. Sure the PS3 has it's limits, but don't blame it for CCP's failures. |

While the OP is still just a ****, who himself is missing the big picture (while bashing everyone else), PS3 development has been rough for MANY game developers out there. Remember Fallout 3? I sure do & Bethesda didn't get a free pass on it or Skyrim. They had to fix the problems with their games. I finished both of those game or the PS3, they had plenty of problems but were eventually dealt with. Also those were completely open world games that were released years before this lobby shooter & still performed & looked better than Dust514. |
