My progress carries over, AND I get to play the game that was originally pitched to me. It's quite the opposite of a backstab in my case. And most of you will likely get a quality PS4 port out of it.
The rest of you who expected this to be a PS3 game till the end of time, well, not sure what to tell you other than the game is still being developed and won't be closed until everyone just stops playing it.
What happens when they tell you your progress can't carry over? You do realize they are saying this to have you spend money on Aurum.
All of a sudden due to outrage your progress can be carried over lol. |

Easy, you don't. The Character Data belongs to CCP, and is already on CCP's servers. Not only is CCP not contractually obliged to hold DUST as a PS3 exclusive, EVE: Legion is technically a different game, so it wouldn't matter either way. Sony paid for the exclusive rights to Dust514, making a game that's similar to Dust isn't that a copyright infringement? Why not call Dust514 2.0?
CCP never stated how that's going to work. They only said all of your progress will carry
Which I believe is a ploy to keep having you spend money in Dust.
Unless CCP plans on buying back the exclusive rights from Sony.
The character transfer is not going to happen. |
