IGÇÖve been having a little fun the last few days stirring up trouble on the forums after getting over the initial shock of FanFest, but havenGÇÖt actually played since. Just have no desire to, for the first time in over a year. The forums are getting dull, too, and CCP is still putting out the same corporate doublespeak without giving any meaningful answers to much of anything. IGÇÖm nobody special in this game, just an open beta vet who played decently and spent some time on the forums arguing about balance and writing some guides for the noob section (since deleted). So, feel free to ignore this post if you have no idea who I am. And before you ask: -No you canGÇÖt have my stuff, I donGÇÖt have hundreds of millions of ISK anyway. -I have made an informed decision to not play games on PC, so donGÇÖt bother trying to convince me to. -IGÇÖm not butthurt, itGÇÖs CCPGÇÖs game and intellectual property, but as a consumer I feel misled and choose to not do any further business with them. -I have no plans to closely follow/respond to this thread, and am certainly not interested in wasting my time feeding any trolls that show up, so save it. I guess this is CCPGÇÖs MO over the years, IGÇÖm learning that a little late. But, with no realistic hope that there will be any of the new content we were promised, and, letGÇÖs be honest, virtually zero chance of further console development, thereGÇÖs not much reason for me to play. I only kept playing this essentially broken game for 2 reasons: the future, and having fun playing with people IGÇÖve met in-game. (I guess the laz0r rifle was pretty badass too) Both of those things are pretty much gone now. IGÇÖll definitely log in one of these days to get everyoneGÇÖs PSN IDGÇÖs, and maybe play once or twice over the next few months if people I like are on. IGÇÖll also still be looking to see what CCP is up to and if they actually fix this mess (see below) which will require me to hit the forums few days or so, but for all intents and purposes, IGÇÖm a ghost now. So, why write this? For my own self-aggrandizement, of course, but also to say something to 3 groups of people: 1)The players: From the fellow vets in my corp to the Amarr FW people, especially the PCLAS crew, [/b]o7[/b]. ItGÇÖs been great, a lot of you will be getting psn friend invites from me in the near future. If you donGÇÖt get one, itGÇÖs more due to my own laziness, my psn ID is in my sig, feel free to friend me, IGÇÖm not elitist. 2) Forum warriors: IGÇÖm still right and you are still wrong! Saberwing and Logibro can do all the damage control they want, but the simple fact of the matter is, we were misled for months about progression of this game, being encouraged to buy aurum with the promises of new content and long-term progression in the same format. Now we know better. Maybe you guys really are competent programmers and the PS3 really was the only issue. I doubt it, but letGÇÖs say thatGÇÖs true. That is completely unrelated and does not excuse how you treated a very loyal group of players. Moreover, to do this, and then be faced with obvious disapproval by your customers, and say essentially nothing for 48 hours, is pathetic, and reeks of incompetence, contempt, or both. Even still, days later, the following things that, honestly, almost any well run business would have done to demonstrate a commitment to customers, have not happened: 1)An actual apology - Saberwings short and bland one, buried in a thread, is insufficient, and heGÇÖs not even the one who should be doing it. Rouge has said nothing even remotely contrite to date. 2)Concrete explanations of how our concerns will be addressed and why this happened. The responses to our concerns have been nebulous at best, and late GÇª I mean, why not mention right away characters would be transferred over if that was your plan? That would have cooled a lot of the rage. The fact that you didnGÇÖt makes me suspect you are backpedaling on the original plan, which is a bad one anyway, predicating all this on a game thatGÇÖs not even greenlit by the CEO! 3)Some type of good-faith offer to refund, at the very least, the last month or two of aurum sales. Changing plans and using your own intellectual property as best you see fit is one thing. But misleading customers into paying for something they are not actually getting is another. Is it a classic bait and switch? Maybe not, but I can make an argument that hyping boosters and the origin pack just [/u]days[u] before FanFest, is very very close. No amount of backpedaling, dubious promises about Legion features and character transfer can erase that one! You do those three things, CCP, and you will restore most of our faith in you (however misplaced) and may get me back as a customer. Scouts and heavies 514. Obviously I'm farming a sht load of wp and isk but its just not fun most of the time. Pretty certain that fotm won't be nowhere near as bad in eve legion because people tend to play how they want and make it work in PC games, console players do what they have to, to win. I never really bought into the whole PCmasterrace stereotype until you all started squirming out of the woodwork with the Legion announcement. It's all console's fault. Don't blame CCP for an imbalanced game, blame the console players for trying to win a competitive game. Don't blame CCP for failing to code properly, blame console players for finding the subsequent glitches. Don't blame CCP for biting off more than they can chew, blame the limitations of the console. Sorry as a PC/Console gamer I'm going to have to just call bullshit on that. I've noticed a lot more bro/gangsta/selfie culture now then 8 years ago but PC and console multi-player games have always been infested with power gaming douche-baggery. Legion isn't going to have any improved community, because those don't exist in any game on any platform. What it will have is what was a potential diverse fan base pigeonholed onto a single platform. On top of that, it's only going to really matter for those who have enough time on their hands to play both Eve and Dust simultaneously, because not every consumer has that much time. This is assuming that Legion gets: A) The green light and doesn't get canned in favor of milking Eve out some more. and B) Doesn't fail to live up to expectations, like Dust. Those rooting hard for Legion are already the underdogs because the companies past behavior and the general consumer outrage is enough to see it canned. The smart consumers are going to go play something else. There are far too many games to play to bother with supporting a dying company who has no one to blame but themselves. For those of you that cling to the sinking ship, you have no one to blame but yourselves.

Trying to make that distinction is like saying 'Oh, I need to eat to stay alive, but since I'm just a kid, I guess I don't have to'. Or some ** like that. They're pretty much the same thing, since they're both ***** batshit crazy statements.
