- So my future as a PlayStation controller using merc in New Eden looks nothing but dark and pointless. I have kept my patience and kept coming back to this game, like so many others mostly due to its potential. I have dreamt of higher player counts than feeble 16 vs 16, a steady FPS of 30, and not least a progressive tactical game mode. Seing that the likelyhood of any of these 3 main issues I have with this game will most likely ever be fixed is very small, why would I wanna continue playing Dust?

I will SoonTM resign as CEO of The Butterfly Effect. This is not news to my corp, a replacement has been picked and chafted some time ago. He has my and indeed seemingly everybody else's complete confidence, please welcome Norttheantiv.

I will make sure that stuff is put in order to make the transition as smooth as possible, I don't know exactly when it will happen. I will give up my piggy bank to the corp at least...

I will stay on as a very casual player, my goal is now to waste the 500 M or so isk that I will keep as pocket change, this should be enough for the occational drunk MD friday or as many protostomps as I can possibly want. Expect my KDR to drop as fast as CCPs business ethics.

I am not a 100% done with Dust, but my activety level will drop and I will only play PCs if asked nicely, I'm not any god at it anyways.

Lastly I will like to do a shoutout to some of you, you know who you are, friends and foes I respect, its been mostly mediocre, sometimes fun, thank you all. Friends and foes that are morons go flux yourselves Big smile

I dunno if I would actually do it, but if I were to make a one man bs corp, what would be a cool name?

No, we do not have faster strafe speeds, and we can't change direction faster, that's a myth, and you can disprove it by plugging one in and testing yourself. Mouse aiming is marginally superior, but it isn't a huge advantage. Back in Chromosome when mouse aiming was passable, the leaderboards were still rocked by Dualshock users. There are plenty of terrible players in PC games... just having a mouse doesn't make you a god. 2) CCP won't shard, they won't let the patch-level of one platform be different from another. If it comes out on PS4, updates for PC will be held back until the PS4 patch has been approved by Sony and released to PS4 clients. Remember that their original vision was to have this game on XBOX 360 and PS3, they wanted to support multiple platforms. It's simple, you make your patch, you submit your patch to PSN, Steam, whatever, you wait till all services approve the patch, then you press the button to deploy. 3) See above. The only sharding CCP has ever done was for China, because China is China. Honestly, a PC port is a non-issue. Almost everyone on these forums has access to a computer that can play Unreal Engine 3 games, and as I said, DS3 controllers work on PC just fine. Yes, you'll be at a small disadvantage to a mouse individually, but teamwork is what wins matches. I'm sad to see so many people disenfranchised by such non-factors. Your toon will be waiting for you in Legion Babar, but till then, there is still a bit of a war to fight.
