The life of PS3 is ending. It's gotta move somewhere.

I've seen people say it would be far easier to move it to the PS4, yet they rather start the entire project on PC. Is this to feed the EVE players or what? Feel free to enlighten me cause I have no clue.

I don't care where it goes as long as it's off the PS3. If the PC ends up giving us the higher quality product, then so be it.

it is really simple we ask that you squash project legion and bring every file in Project legion into Dust 514. if you agree give me a hell yeah. if you disagree i got 3 words for you stop sucking it.

Because Sony has a lot of red tape to get passed before you can release a build on thier system. For example, CCP can't run a test server on PS3 because Sony doesn't want faulty software screwing up their consoles.

On PC they can do as they wish. It's going to be much more hassle free to first finish the game on PC before porting to PS4.

Hearing the stories of melted consoles I am not sure I want to trust CCP with installing something from them on a $1500 PC

The only argument I need: shiny, high-end performance doesn't equate to game success. For those who wish to make Legion something that no one knows anything about it's simple: you can make it visually, graphically and even technically superior to Dust. HOWEVER, game dynamics, bugs, glitches, balancing, and overall game mechanics and operation as intended are not based on whether something was made for the PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox or whatever. Something as finding a way to avoid how protostomping really kills the ability for any player in general to participate and grow a game doesn't take into account if its a PC or console player.

It's these dynamics and arguments that PC fanboys who want to white-knight legion are somehow ignoring and not understanding. And guess what I'm pretty damn sure my i7-3770 with 2 x Asus GTX 660's probably destroy alot of the pc gamers desktop builds [and yea I still prefer my Gigabyte mobos even if half of you prefer Asus]. So I know fully well how good maxing out stuff on SLI looks.

Call me simple minded but I've learned to appreciate games that "work" versus "looking good". It's like being married, if you're going to commit looks don't last but sound fundamentals do. Like I said call me old fashioned but it's not like I don't have a valid point making that argument either. And all that we have to reference and judge Legion thus far is Dust and a fuzzy alpha youtube.

Long story short = development should be judged on actual gameplay fundamentals because anyone can make anything look good, but a solid game with sound foundations is a tougher act to follow. Ever heard of Final Fantasy 14. That's what made me value a "functional game" over "it looks good" game.

Also its massively clear CCP devs are PC based which was clearly highlighted when rouge cleanded house. I see a lot of people blaming ccp for there own silly choises, its not ccp fault you bought a consol for an untested and unproven game. The other upside is CCP know have it in their corprate culture that they can FAIL. So going forword they be a lot less reckless

PS: 2 problems rise with a PC game:
The first and MOST important in a FPS are AIMBOT-TRIGBOT-WALLHACKZ, they are a nuisance in every Battlefield/COD etc etc
Now imagine that ****** things in a MMOFPS where very death count. Cant possibly go well.
The second one is that a consolle is a equal play field. You come with the same controller, the same CPU etc etc.
On consolle you don't have to worry about 1000000 DPI mouse, or MACRO-keybord that can put you at disadvantage even before logging the game.
And there is no way to balance this 2 thing.

Take your ba.l.l.s CCP and made reall what you promised to community.
You took community money and ideas for dust 514 pc port.
Now its time to repay their zeal for dust 514 back.
