No matter if its on PC or any other platform your DUST 514/ Legion Char. is irrelevant and I ll tell you why.
1) Faction warfare: you dont even fight for the same NPC Faction Corp as your EVE corp mates do .Whatever you do For the Imperial Guard for example neither helps/hurts you corp EVE side. There is no benefit to your corporation standing even in that same empire. So you could fight forever for the Imperial Guard and there is no upside to that. For your EVE militia corpmates.
2) Manufacturing: There is nothing planet side that you the DUST player/corp as far as resources that helps to create anything in EVE or DUST
3) District ownership: as stated in point 2 there are no resources for you to gather. An Eve player can do PI but it doesn't matter if you own the district or not.Your DUST char cant charge the PI EVE player rent to be on your land. Baring that ,most EVE players give **** all about PI.
4) DUST corps cant own or set tax on POCO's (player owned custom offices) and cant set a tax rate on the POCO to generate revenue from the planet .
5) Cant fire into space to defend the POCO if it does come under attack EVE side.
Nothing shown on the DUST/Legion Alpha keynote expands on the eve connection at all. So its never going to happen. Legion will be a lobby shooter connected to your EVE account that serves no purpose at all except to be a ground pounding monkey.Eternally to be a non factor in the EVE universe.
EDIT : ps they showed No drones , none of the PVE they spoke of No game mode with PVE, no concepts on PVE for Legion in that keynote nothing at all.

Yes, the game is missing a lot of features.
Can you guess why they want to bring to PC? Just a wild shot in the dark but I think its so they can work on bringing things like this to game.

Technically false.
" Corporations that own districts can choose from one of three district types. Each one offeres different bonuses to EVE or DUST, two of them offering bonuses to both. Research lab district bonus:
A decrease in POS fuel usage 5% per district owned to a maximum of 4 districts or 20%
Cargo hub district bonus:
A decrease in manufacturing time at Player Owned Starbases (POSes) 10% per district owned to a maximum of 4 districts or 40%"
Now, that said, it is an incredibly small bonus that only works on temparate planets with moons, but it is a bonus. |

Not trying to be to much of an ass here but My DUST toon cant build a POS and cant beifit from manufacturing , and nothing can be manufactured IN EVE that helps a DUST Corp/character IE dropsuits/weps/vehicles

A timeline? Nope, don't need one. Its quite clear the objective of the next 2 years will be to make a working product on the PC. That's about all the timeline I need. For now, i'll just enjoy my brand new EVE account and ESO in the meantime.
I haven't been this excited about a game since WoW was first announced.

Wait, the EVE side bonuses of PC don't actually work? Huh, I never realized that. So I guess capsuleers get no mechanical benefit from dropping OBs in PC then.

Its pretty doubtful 1) because EVE players hate that revenue "supposedly" was comming from there subs to dev this game when they want more for EVE. So I dont think it'll survive. Past concept. Baring that the revenue tap from DUST ps3 has been shut off by anyone who continues to play this game .Im sure many vets have bought there last booster.

I'm pretty confident in a PS4 port, at least now more than I was before Legion was announced. With CCP still working close with Sony for Valkyrie, the foundation will definitely still be there. Many of us knew that DUST had no real future on the PS3, so if they solidify a PS4 port I think that many people who didn't just up and biomass will have the opportunity to persist, meaningfully, in New Eden.

You are absolutely correct here, which is why they want to move to PC. So they can better develop the tools for ground force mercenaries to leave their mark on New Eden.

Lets start with the battle for Caldari Prime. Dust changed the entire face of that event and it's subsequent results are still being felt in the developing story of New Eden. Then how DNS has gone down in the history books for securing Molden heath (Never mind that it's broken mechanics that allow it, they still have done it) FW systems are regularly influenced by ground battles causing control flips that otherwise might not have done so.
Is it as much of a link as it could be? No. Is it a real link? Yes. |

You blew up that TITAN? I thought an EVE fleet did ? Cubbs never told me owns a POS. He must be holding out on me.Your FW standing does nothing to Increase your standing for your EVE militia Corp mates so you and them really arent working together to increase your Corps standing in the militia corp's empire and actually gain standing for to separate entities
